Can someone explain why I got nothing for levels 3, 4, and 5 of this KotH?

Does the 70k damage I took in level 2 carry forward through the rest of the levels to offset any damage I do? Seems like each level should be handled independently.
Also, shouldn't there maybe be a cap on Destruction damage?
