Attention Add new stuff

Hello guys,

I don't know how about you, but I am getting bored. Still the same stuff, same items, same prefixes/suffixes etc. I'd like to ask DEV team to start adding something really new and not just old stuff in new coat. Is it so hard to add new items? New prefixes or suffixes? I think no.

Yeah, I know what some of you will say. It will screw up the balance. It won't and do you know why? Because it's already screwed. No offense, but it is.

Bring some variety into items, because as it is now everyone will in the end looks almost same. And why? Because there is only limited number of good prefixes and suffixes.

Add some helmet prefix/suffix giving knowledge or charisma. Add some pants prefix/suffix giving intelligence. It's not so hard.

Also I would like to see something added to tattoo developement as I have all tattoos maxed. And now what? This is the end? There should be new set of tattoos to upgrade. More powerful, but of course more expensive.

Your opinions guys?

I already put in an idea about this. A final tattoo (Or set) which makes you all the more specialised.

I want to see more items... more perception shirts especially. Or maybe more sets with more bonuses. I reckon they will add one for the new arcana of the Cursed one, the perception and death breath stuff.

I agree with Mortis, we really need more equipment worth using to diversify it. Maybe more weapon types... or as I suggested a bare handed tattoo set.

Problem is once you are the best what do you do? (Not saying I am, but thinking more on Mortis, CESARZ, Caprio ect.)

They need new goals, and not just from Act II

i agree completly.

the new patch has new legendary items but there still the same.
new quests??? there the same aswell.

groups of players fight to gain honour not here yet.dont know what it is yet but it could be interesting.

tournements to gain poh or super rare items would be great.

you could have different league's.1 handed,2-handed etc

or sort it by lvls.1-10(novice) 10-20(begginer) or whatever.

maybee if we come up with a good list of new items and pre/suffix the devs MIGHT
consider it.

I think you should start another thread about this idea.

I thinkthat this is right, we need new stuff.

Such as for helmets:

Prefix

Scholars: +Knowledge, +Intelligence, -Strength

That'd be good with precog Big Grin

Also maybe something that reduces the requirements of armour, like 'light' does to weapons.

Also maybe for weapons, more 2H guns especially.

And maybe 1H ranged?

Also do something with the guns, im no expert in 1-h guns. But in my oppinion there is three usefull 2-h guns you have to choose from. i won't try to calculate how many usefull combinations of usefull weapons 1-h melee fighters have at their disposal, suffice to say its more than three.

A thing that puzzels me a little is the fact that a AK-47 is called AK-47 and not Assault Rifle(which i the gun category i guess an AK would fit in). I mean every other two-handed gun in this game(apart from the fn-fal) has a name that rather suits a category of guns. So my suggestion with the guns is: drop the sniper rifle, drop the shotgun, drop the hunting rifle, drop the semi-automatic sniper rifle and drop the flame thrower and introduce a new range of weapons with real names instead.

And instead of just making legendary guns why not use real names here as well. Maybe a legendary shotgun could be a "Jackhammer Mk3A1" which is a assault shotgun firing 240 rounds per minute Cool

Another suggestion that springs to my mind is an alternative to the current questing system where success is not calculated on the basis of your stats but rather you encounter some semi-random monster that you fight. Rewards need not be any different than normal questing, or maybe just a little higher since you risk loosing blood should you be defeated.

Edit: and this random encounter should of course scale to your level/power

Really? I was looking for them for the last 2 weeks and havent seen brother Albert once! More annoying than enjoyable.

Back to topic:
New items would be nice, thats for sure. As Nndungu said that a sniper has the choice af 3 guns, well, 1h gunners have the choice of 2 (uzi and scorpio) so even less.

Certain things Mortis mentioned (shorts with charizma for example) may conflict with the intended task difficulty. Please noticed i said MAY, not will ;-)

I'd like to know what the devs think about it. The excuse for not answering will be 'Sorry, we're too busy adjusting the 1.1 patch to polish servers and somehow forgot that you exist. In a few weeks you might get the patch as well'

i think that the main problem with the game for me is it is too predictable.
i get a quest, i click on it , check the couler on the top and the item i got and delete it.
no longer even bother reading it.
new items would be great, getting more effects and more prefexis/suffixes would definatly make things more interesting, maybe even premiun users only ones, i dunno maybe make items that cant be auctioned, like dispossibles that you fight with [no requirments just the effects] and can only be used once that could make things interisting [ie perfect uzi+5] maybe spice the game up a little more

even something as little as new story lines on all quests, act 1 and 2 or maybe alrernative ones, not just succsesed and fail for each stat on each level, maybe even more ones the same stats or item defence, crit chance, luck, i dont care just something differant, and you cant really tell me that these would be hard to implant, especially switching the storyline round, and if you dont have the time to write one why not get the players to have a go? i dunno, just something differant

Dev's - if you introduced just a couple of each of these, that would mean about 40 new things for us to play with. Not much to ask?

Also, if you increased the drop rate (not the percentage chance of success - but the chance of what you actually find) of more "interesting" items; then that might make it a more fertile playing arena.

Out of 24 daily quests, the chance to find an item that has a prefix, suffix, both, or is over +2, is frustratingly low. Not to mention the chance of finding anything decent on an expedition! (that really annoys me)

I know you guys have faith in your randomizing algorithm; but a lot of the players do not; therefore, perhaps you should re-visit it, and work out if any changes, can / should be made.

As for the worry of whether game stays level? I agree with Mortis; it is not. I don't have a problem with it - NO game is ever level; that is the nature of a game - espcially an RPG. Players develop at different speeds and desires, so there will always be areas that appear to wieghted in some players favor.
Don't try to fix these so much - let the players worry about that. I didn't like what you did to the ranged vengence suffix - but I have adapted; and I would adapt again if I felt it was necessary.

And finally - yes we will always moan about how the game works. We are game-players, it is our purpose to question the nature of the game. YOU are game designers - it is YOUR purpose to keep our minds stimulated enough so we continue playing.

Without wanting to be rude, or brash, or sounding too much like a child who wants a lolly... DO YOUR JOB. Tongue Big Grin

yeh, surly its not that hard to create, is it?
surly they dev team already have programs in place that allow them to add infinate stats, stones ect just to check that the game works out, so why not use those to create new prefexis/suffixes

its not hard, like some of the stuff chulha said, new guns, all you have to do is create some code that does xxx damge xxx times per round and has xxx features and your done! think of a name, add some graphics in... nice and easy

new dispossibles, surly thats not hard, and woudnt take you very long, but it would make us all so much happier

DemonD - the subject of the games marketing has been discussed before: though god only knows where! I remember posting on it, so had Gendibal & Mortis & loads others; explaining to the Devs that in order to increase the game popularity, they had increase the marketing. But clearly BW is a small dev team; they make enough money to pay bills, keep games ticking over, & put food, coffee, (& knowing Polish blokes & gals like I do - no stereotyping intended - lots of vodka!) & cigarettes into their system.
We can't blame them if they don't have a budget that reaches to expensive adverts... of course we can blame them for not taking advantage of the plentitude of free ad space you can find, no matter how shit it is.

But that is another thread debate... keep on topic Cthulhu! Tongue

Thanks Szej for your reply (even if it was predictable) - is there any news on:
a) when Act 2 patch will be out?
b) how soon after that, more patches for Act 1 will happen?

I understand how long coding across takes, but surely we can have a rough estimate, I mean there is no such thing as a blind target, unless complications arise... areyou not telling us something?

As for new stuff, it'd be a great way to increase the number of players, as for better drops... maybe until we have more players on the server who are regularly active... It'd then have the same affect, and as more regular active players join the drop rate slowly decreases back to what it was

More of em will make every one real strong real fast = very hard for new players as the people level 20 have sig.s of youth already (actually i did, but that was rare lol)

Also, if u put the code on the net for a few hours and ask google to translate it... done!!! The u just have to go over it, and im sure thatl take a long time, but if the middle bit is taken out, then u will move a shiz load faster!!!

And if u dont wana use google, im sure there is some sort of web service that could help u!!!

Thing is Demondude, on Moria the drop rate is as it is now (I believe) but because many more people play the chances of getting a decent item in the auction are greatly increased, now that means that people can actually get decent items, and progress from a much lower level, it happens, I've been watching the server Big Grin now then, if the drop rate were increased to 150% of what it is current, it would make it just that little bit more likely that decent items would turn up you see, mainly becasue the perception items rely on there being lots of players, which there arne't really.

Bad bad... translators on the net never work, leave them to do it as they are.

Also as for rare items... youth and levitation apperar quite often when I compare them to hawk's or Solar, yet there are plenty of agility items anywayus... we almost need more hawks and solar sets to come about... I think the drop rate should iincrease by that amount and thenn slide down as more and more people start to find stuff, and more and more people become activie...

The other thing that could happen, a new server event.

I apologise, but in this thread alone Deathmaker has posted 7 times, each one being no more than one line long, and each one in no way contributing to the discussion.

Now ontopic..

I've lost count of the amount of threads posted over the past few months with some fantastic ideas for the game.

And as far as i can see, the Dev team aren't paying the slightest bit of attention to them. And I can see this being the way until JULY's 1.1 Patch is finished with. I can only hope that this isn't the case after 1.1 is finished.

Come to think of it, the only addition to the game as suggested by the players that didn't relate to premium, that i can think of on the spot, was a tiny change back in the youth of this server. And that was that clans couldn't accept players if they were engaging in a defensive takeover siege.

Now dont hold me to that, there maybe more!

It seems the Dev's started out with the very best intentions, but they've bitten off more than they can chew and with multiple servers now (it must be nearly 10?), they simply don't have the time or perhaps the courtesy to take any suggestions on this server as seriously as they would on say Pl1 or the French servers with a much bigger playerbase.

Anyway i'm done ranting, i just hope the Dev team set a little more time aside for us when 1.1 is done with.

Another query before i go, do any of the players here the the Polish boards? If so, what sort of comments do the players there make? Surely their problems are the same as ours? I dont know how the French get on as there playing a completely different game.

The patch should have been translated ages ago. If you want to apply a patch to all the servers you need to have it in 3 languages. If you want I'll take a day off, call some of my mates and ranslate it for you.
It is unfair that on Polish servers people already have the patch, know the new race and everything while we can just wait. Unfair AGAIN!

Back to topic.
I'm fed up suggesting thing, inventing new items that could be implemented. There were so many suggestions left to rot.

i have read through previus threads and there has been a treasure trove of good ideas.

i paticularly like the new tatoo idea..im a monk and would love to have a bare-fisted tatoo.

i taught the new patch was going to be implemented in july???? am i mistakin

or is it way past its due time.................

we have wepons that increase dmg per 4lvls of your char.
i would like to see wepons that increase stats at 4lvls per char.

wepons that grow with you char.this would see ppl using there favorite wepon and item and not just the strongest
