Hello,
Below you will find a sizeable list of upcoming and planned changes.


We have prepared a series of events to celebrate the Volleyball World Championship:
30.08 - 31.08 First serve
luck +20
02.09 - 07.09 First serve
luck +20

10.09 - 14.09 Luck favours the better team
luck +30

16.09 - 18.09 Eagles only
luck +40

20.09 - 21.09 There can be only one winner
luck +50


To commemorate the tragic events of World War II we have added a new permanent event:
01.09 In memory of the victims of World War II
effect1: no building bonuses for ambushes and arenas
effect2: building bonuses work for sieges and expeditions


Patch 1.5.6
As always during the holidays, we have decided to focus on minor improvements that were always pushed back in favour of bigger updates.

First of all we would like to make the game more pleasant for new players on new and old (more than 1 year old) servers.

- Attack and quest durations have been shortened for low level characters.
For new servers:
level 1 - 90%
level 2 - 80%
level 3 - 70%
level 4 - 60%
level 5 - 50%
level 6 - 40%
level 7 - 30%
level 8 - 20%
level 9 - 10%

For older servers:
level 1, 2 - 90%
level 3, 4 - 80%
level 5, 6 - 70%
level 7, 8 - 60%
level 9, 10 - 50%
level 11, 12 - 40%
level 13, 14 - 30%
level 15, 16 - 20%
level 17, 18 - 10%

- Drop and experience gained has been increases for characters level 1-20 on older servers.
All characters receive a free premium service that double experience gained and the number of items dropped. There will always be at least one item dropped.

- Experience gained has been increased for characters level 21-40 on older servers.
Premium account required!
Players gain access to a free premium service that doubles experienced gained and can be enabled or disabled.

We have also added some improvements that have been requested by players to make gameplay smoother.

- An automatic message that informs you of new options when you gain a level.
If an option has a level requirement, players will be sent a message that it has been unlocked when the reach the appropriate level.

- Invert selection when sending invites.
This has been requested by players using mobile phones.

- Premium reminder will be sent 5 days before it runs out, instead of 3 days.

- Bidding after being outbid will now be easier.
The message about being outbid will now include a link to auctions list that will contain only that one auction and an open bidding window.

- You can now finish stage 1 of an expedition for 1 day of premium or honour points (the number of points needed is the same as for beginning a hunt).

- Your nick will be purple in reports.

- You can now look at items from quest reports.

- Players who log in from their phones will have a different online/offline icon in clan members list and in invitation window.

And some balance changes.

- Berserker – new ability: Fury.
After receiving a fatal blow in combat, Berserker regains 1 HP. This can happen only once per combat. This ability will be available at the last level of the Sacrifice tattoo.

- Beta UW: the Assassin tattoo now has a maximum requirements of 50/80/50 points of defence at level 5.
We have decided to test a changed requested by you and put the test requirements for the Assassin tattoo on UW servers.

level 1 - 7/15/7
level 2 - 15/25/15
level 3 - 25/40/25
level 4 - 35/60/35
level 5 - 50/80/50

Ranged weapons balance. - we are hard at work on preparing the final patch for ranged weapons balancing. We plan to release it in Fall 2014.

Epic items. - general ideas
For the time being, we are planning to release epic items only on Necro servers.

Each time you find an item, there will be a small change that it will be Epic.

The chance is equal to 1% + (for the time being) 0,1% for each 100 pts of luck (including all clan bonuses, events, higher zone bonuses)

At the moment, we want Epic items to have no requirements.

Fair drop – the number of epic items dropped will be monitored and if a play has found 100 normal items without finding an epic one, an epic item will be dropped automatically.
This will guarantee that EVERYONE will find at least 1 epic item per 100 items found.

Epic items 1.0

Stats for epic items will be better than the stats of legendary perfect items of the same kind.
They will have no quality, just the Epic affix.

For example:

Legendary Perfect Tiger's Hard Hat of Adrenaline
Type: Helmet
Defence: 1
Stats: AGILITY +17, TOUGHNESS +6, item defence -8, STRENGTH +11, PERCEPTION -5
Requirements: STRENGTH: 46, level: 33, Character must be in act: 2


Epic Tiger's Hard Hat of Adrenaline
Type: Helmet
Defence: 1
Stats: AGILITY +21, TOUGHNESS +7, item defence -8, STRENGTH +14


Legendary Perfect Flamethrower
Type: Two-handed gun
Damage: 41 - 135
Stats: chance to hit -10, chance for critical hit +135 %, ignores opponent's defence
Requirements: level: 85, STRENGTH: 34, AGILITY: 26, TOUGHNESS: 26, Character must be in act: 2

Epic Flamethrower
Type: Two-handed gun
Damage: 52 - 169
Stats: chance to hit -10, chance for critical hit +169 %, ignores opponent's defence


Epic items will be account-bound.
The chance for better items will be higher for characters in Act 2 and 3. In Acts 2 and 3 you will get fewer clubs and more katanas (it will be even better in Act 3).
The chance for better prefixes and suffixes will be SLIGHTLY increased.

Epic items will be zone-free (you can get all affixes).

Luck will increase the chance for better basic item and for rare affixes. This will be doubled for characters in act 2 and tripled for characters in act 3!

You will always get epic items appropriate for you sex.


Unique epic items 2.0
WARNING! We will implement these only if you like epic items 1.0 as they will need a lot of work.

There will be a small (we haven't decided on the exact numbers yet) chance that instead of a “normal” epic item you will get a unique one.
ie. 5% +0.5% for each 100 pts of luck * act

For example:

Epic Flamethrower
Type: Two-handed gun
Damage: 52 - 169
Stats: chance to hit -10, chance for critical hit +169 %, ignores opponent's defence


Incinerator
Type: Two-handed gun
Damage: 52 - 169
Stats: chance to hit -10, chance for critical hit +169 %, ignores opponent's defence
Additionally, two random opponents are dealt 50-100% damage.


As you can see Unique items will have some additional effects.

Here are some examples of additional effects:

- sniper rifle - 50% chance for double damage on critical hits.
- hard hat – your TOUGHNESS is doubled
- helmet – you get an additional 2% ignore damage
- mask – each time you hit an opponent, there is a 2% chance for summing an Infernal Hound to your aid. (Max 1 hound per combat, hound attacks for 1 round).
- circlet - your AGILITY is increased by 20%
- cap – your perception is increased by 20%
- balaclava – doubles your reputation
- hat – your appearance is added to your charisma
- crown – your attack ignore 20% defence
- headband – your appearance is added to your charisma and reputation
- bandanna – each time you get hit, there is a 20% for a counterstrike. (deals 50% of final damage – including defence etc.)

UPDATE1:

UPDATE ON EPIC ITEMS:

We have decided that epic items at low levels would be too powerful so we've modified our initial plans. Now you will only be able to use EI in Act 3 (though they will drop for you starting with A2 and A1 characters can still find them via events)

Fair Drop System
We've decided that we want to provide not only item quantity but also quality. If you drop EI with weak affixes, the chance for a better affix will increase. The strength of an affix is calculated based on its price in LGO, so some LGO prices will have to be readjusted.

Bloody – critical hit modifier +15%
Removed effect: regenerates X BP for each YY damage

Pants, suffix:
Dodges - +2% dodge.

Rings, suffix:
Werewolf – decreases damage taken by 2%

Amulet, suffix:
Werewolf – decreases damage taken by 4%

WARNING! The maximum damage decrease from all sources = 30%
This is calculated after all other effects (defence etc.)

1-handed melee:
Axe – max damage +5, critical hit modifier +50%

Kama – max damage +10, min damage +5, critical hit modifier +75%

Wakizashi - max damage +20, min damage +10, critical hit modifier +100%

1-handed melee, suffix:
Dracula – weapon damage +8, +5% BP
Removed effect: +X BP for each hit

Blood - (-)10% BP
Removed effects: -X BP for each hit

2-handed melee, suffix:
Dracula – weapon damage +18, +10% BP
Removed effect: +X BP for each hit

Blood - (-)20% BP
Removed effects: -X BP for each hit

Questions i need to ask. The berzerker tattoo regen thing. Do effects of regeneration, such as blood of life still work after it has been triggered?

Ranged rebalance patch... I know its early yet, but can you divulge if its a buff or a nerf?

Although not directly related to this patch, but the wiki has not been updated along with the patches for a real long time. May one attempt be made experimentally to allow the registered wiki users to submit drafts on any existing page or about a new page that has not been created before. A group of moderators will scan and sensor the articles and allow them to be included in the wiki. The wiki is long dead and out of date.

Would love to see the possibility of cross server auctions (under similar realm) in future.

The tattoos that can use only very high defence items should be allowed dodge bonus as most of the agility items come at low defence hence the character is unable to dodge the attacks.

for underworld, how about adding 3 levels of weps that are equal to n+5/g+5/p+5 IE; Sniper rifle becomes M14/Walther WA2000/Dragunov (Imma gun nerd, you may not change that order Tongue ) perhaps act locking them aswell.

as for the "at least 1 epic item per 100 items found." i would add a 0 to that every act. any half decent act 3 player will be getting an epic item every other day Tongue

Not good idea to be honest having high defence means its usually heavy, heavy armour makes it harder to move, harder to move less agile you'll be, the reward for this high defence and weight is being able to tank attacks. The opposite should apply for low defence items, they'd tend to be lighter maker your char faster. (Dark Souls does this well). Just a shame melee 1h haven't had shields added in they would reduce the amount of attacks but boost defence and stats heavily to compensate (defence wouldn't affect tattoos)

It'll be very interesting if the devs consider allowing a shield in the spare hand. Most rpgs allow the use of shields and I'm pretty curious about the impact it can make on one handed melee users here on blood wars.

Since you mentioned the reward of gaining tank attacks sacrificing agility, the property of the shields should include added toughness (not defence as that will collide with tat specs) and lowered agility. The way it has been implemented with the turtle shell items. I think if the epic items gets successful they may consider about the shield too.

Wow I held up my due expo and Koth for this event and synchronized so that they end only after it clocks into 27 th, and when the report came there was no sign of the promised night of the heroes, only two unfortunate believers were beaten to death by the mobs. And I'm not expecting any compensation either.

Maybe in Epic 2.0 version BW change it? it will be good if someone even wtih copper set he for example choose +5 to one of stat or so...
