Hello players,

The release date of the next content patch is slowly approaching. Here you can see what changes are coming.

Content patch

Due to the fact that we were in a hurry to make the patch ready for Christmas, it will be marked as Beta. If you have any comments about the balance, please share them with us here.

New stat – Resilience
With this new stat, you will be able to counter the omnipresent defence-ignoring effects. It will be given to the strongest armours, trousers, defensive affixes and, of course, monsters whose defence should be their biggest strength.
The stat will be mostly found on epics.

The last three opponents from the second expedition map
Zepar, Malphas, Hastur.
These will be the most powerful and difficult demons ever encountered in BW. Their mechanics are tuned in such a way that you will need the might of your whole clan combined with the most powerful server events to take them down and it will still be extremely difficult.
Their design is based on Chronos from the first map, who remained undefeated for a very long time.

Evolutions level 5
We are aware that many of you have completed your evolution trees. That is why we are introducing a new level of evolutions. It will also allow you to activate a FIFTH rune in talismans.

Armoury archives
A new tab in the armoury will allow you to see and manage all your items.
You will need premium to activate it.
The cost is 20 days of premium for 3 days of the service.

4 new events related to the effects of Talismans... or lack thereof
Some will activate all racial Talismans, others will activate non-racial ones. Some will even disable Talismans altogether!

Call of Blood
- racial talismans work without runes and are maxed out

Night of Power
- non-racial talisms work without runes and are maxed out

In the Dark
- racial talismans don't work

Water and Blood
- non-racial talismans don't work



Crafting Epics 1.0 and legendary items on Underworld
We are introducing the long awaited Epic items to Underworld. You will have to make them on your own – trading them will not be possible. It will also be possible to add the Legendary trait to items without it.

Cain's cube will have a new option - the Forge. It'll allow you to upgrade items:
Non-legendary to legendary
Legendary to epic

The upgrading will be automatic, no more randomisation like in Well of Souls. However, the price will also be quite steep.
The cost of reforging 2-handed weapons will be twice the cost of upgrading one-handed weapons to balance different character builds.
EPIC items cannot be traded (but you'll be able to downgrade them and sell then). They also cannot be put in the CA.

So, when will this happen?
We hope to implement the patch on 20.12.2017, we're still working on it. We'd like to polish it as much as we can.

We are already beta since v. 1.7.0 beta 1 August 2015
Now it's v. 1.7.21 beta 30 October 2017

The item test is connected to what is currently live, so unfortunately no.

As for the Armoury Archives - well, it's a quality of life option, and once you enable it, you can sift through items pretty quickly so 3 days should be all you need for some cleaning up Smile

The patch will MOST PROBABLY hit live today.

We are currently experiencing some problems with the Armoury Archive (huge lags when using it). We're working on a solution. If we can't fix this fast, we'll simply extend the duration or refund the premium spent on it.

All end game items and the difference in being able to equip them is so unbalanced,as u can tell the last too can be worn easily Meele as usual have been shafted, I could live with the massive amount of evos needed but being able to wear them in 2025 mite be to much

i agree, evo collection is way too limited. We need to be able to collect more in other ways or exchange stuff for evos, like stones etc.

Why do I have less blood points following this update than I did before? It's not by a large factor - maybe 3-5% - but I definitely can't use as many points of arcana as I could before the update. I don't anything that changed that should have had this effect.

Quick question about Resilience... when you say it counters ignore defence, does this mean that it directly reduces the opponents ignore defence or is there some other way the mechanic is applied?

I also agree that we need another means to gather evo points considering the massive cost for epics (and lvl 5 evos to boot).
Also 5k mergestone?? Come on... I doubt I've even had that many stones altogether (about 240k bs from exp gain so far) and I'll likely have to spend that much just to get some items to Leg p5 before I even worry about epic upgrades (so far I've only had 2 successful P5 upgrades).
Its nice to know there's something to work towards, but I'm not into 10year plans, especially in browser games. Not everyone has a big clan to support them... :/

Prices are really too expensive, i don't have time to wait 200 days until i will be able to have 1 epic item, and after another 6 to get all of them to epic, and after 5x this time to get them all to epic +5
this is almost 15 ears, just to upgrade what you have, and if you want to change tattoo, then it's easier to create your own server (a copy of the game) in 15 years you have sufficient time to learn programming Happy )))

Exactly that, it directly reduced the opponent's ignore defence.

The Intelligence and Knowledge requirements, while an interesting way of pressuring a player who want to use Chainsaws, are WAY off there.

A fully affixed E5 Chainsaw needs over 200 in each stat. Even with maximum easiness that's ridiculous for melee dump stats.

Either drop it down to sane levels, or give Chainsaws bonuses for it. Intelligence = Hit and Knowledge = Damage would make it worth jumping through hoops for, but having to run gun gear for melee with no benefits is shocking.

EDIT: I just checked, and an E5 Flamethrower needs less Int/Kno than a fully affixed E5 Chainsaw! What strange new hell is this? XD

I'm pretty impressed you're answering during the holidays at all :p

Enjoy some time, but this IS poorly balanced. Melee users shouldnt need higher gun stats than gun users. While it's interesting up to a certain point to force us to diversify our stats instead of loading into a narrow set, it's pretty unfair as it stands.

You need to have an item at P5 to use Cains Forge. Your item(s) must be at this level to see them in the menu on that page.

theres no "obvious" button to remove the item from cains forge

but @ heraldo if you see the green arrow pointing down just above the item you can click that and select a new item
