Question Forum question

One question for admins: Why on polish board are visible warnings of other members and here not?

Posted by Szeszej on 02-12-2009 at16:18:

Differeny default settings. If you want it to be changed I'm sure it can be done.

Posted by Mortis on 02-12-2009 at16:19:

As for me its good to see as for others they must say for themselves.

Posted by minshres on 02-12-2009 at16:26:

i dun mind.

I think it makes sense, always thought it was odd how other people dont see them.

Makes sense Wink

i woudnt mind showing if i have warnings or not [i have one for spam]
really woudnt it to be best to make it a option in usercp to hide warnings as not everyone would want to display them

Posted by Tempest on 02-12-2009 at17:45:

I have no problem with that , sounds ok to me

Posted by Mortis on 02-12-2009 at18:41:

So maybe mods can make a poll for it.

Posted by DemonDude2 on 02-12-2009 at18:41:

good idea bob Wink

Poll added.

Great idea, would make people think twice about blatantly asking for them

Great idea mortis Smile

tbh its not necessary, acutally its good the way it is.

If you have been warned you know it, everyone else should not care as its noneof his business ...

I agree with this. Wether someone else has a warning or not isnt going to make a significant impact on anything board or game related. And it is just being nosy Tongue

Posted by spawnraloom on 02-13-2009 at13:00:

but being noisy is fun Tongue i think there should be an option then if it is possable in the acount setings wether to show ur wanrings or not

Posted by Artoir. on 02-14-2009 at01:31:

It'll encourage people to think twice if everyone can see because of judgemental people like myself not taking those on their 3rd warning on their second account, very seriously at all Tongue

Yea but that might alienate people who have warnings for careless mistakes or who arent fullly used to the rules yet.

Posted by Artoir. on 02-14-2009 at01:35:

I think one banned account is lesson enough?

Posted by Lysandra on 02-14-2009 at03:16:

I'm undecided on this one. Personally, I wouldn't want people to see what I got warned for because really it's my business if I was a bit slow and did something I wasn't supposed to.
On the other hand... I'm very nosey...LOL.
Maybe if they do implement it we can have a toggle switch in our user CP that turns warning view on and off.

Posted by Kalessin on 02-14-2009 at13:15:

I have no problem with this idea at all. In many forums other users can 'thank' or 'vote' for a person, the results of which are shown publicly in their profile page, a warning serves a similar purpose. They aren't given out arbirarily. If its for a mistake then that person will learn from it, if its for something more serious then we all have a right to nose. Er, I mean know Tongue

Posted by Evangelion on 02-14-2009 at14:07:

I voted yes. I got tired of receiving several reports on one user who I already warned Tongue

Posted by Cthulhu on 02-14-2009 at16:14:

Woohoo they brought it in.... I can see who has been naughty! Tongue

Like you?? Bold Cthulhu!

Look at that, a moderator has a warning =O
