10-18-2010 20:52 Forum: Evaluation - R1 Underworld

Hi rohlikus, how are you?

Yes I'm back since yesterday. Lost a hell of a lot of ground, but thats to be expected lol.

I'm not going to be on as much as I used to, just killing a bit of time here and there...

Thought I may as well find a better home for the thing cos it's no good to me really and I'd rather get some stones to improve my setups some.

Take it easy mate, cya round Wink

I think people are right. The RNG can be both frustrating and very generous, but over enough time it will be fair.

Take today for me. I decided to do normal quests for a change. The best setup I had managed to give me only around 27% chance of success (not good but I was trying for some good drops). I did around 13 quests and passed 10 of them, 9 of which were in a row Big Grin

After running out of blood I did easy ones to use quests up and failed 3 or so.

But a few weeks ago I was trying for my knowledge pilgramage. I did something like 34-35 attempts on max chance. Didn't even hit the right quest a single time! Totally avoiding them now lol.

Igor - nice hopeful mantra Smile

The whole subject of pushing (I don't mention pulling as it is impossible to achieve for many reasons) annoys me. If someone wants to pay a relatively larger price to ensure they get an item they want whats the problem?

The mods are being half-arsed. Either they need to introduce a de facto price for every item or just let the auction RUN AS AN AUCTION, i.e highest bidder takes the prize.

Obviously if the pushing is in some way between characters controlled by the same person that is another story, but the cheating of some should not affect the majority of players with a single account by making them worry about what they are bidding.

I'm looking for Legendary one-handed weapons with prefix AND suffix:

In particular I seek a Legendary caring/shining club of precison/valour, but I will consider any other ones that people want to sell.

Please post what you have and the amount of stones you would want for it

Thanks Smile

I have seen a few 'guesses' as to how many stones would be needed to create a Perfect +5 item.

Well, assuming you can get 64 Good +5 of the same item..and 63 MS, you could merge your way there. Problem is the extremely HUGE number of mana and nanites needed. As I have no idea what each merge would cost in mana/nanites at such lvl of item, I will have to hazard a guess:

It costs more nanites than mana to merge guns, and nanites are easier to obtain in general, so I will ignore mana.

EDIT: I was wrong here - mana is easier to obtain...meh, only means it is more expensive to obtain the Perfect +5 gun!!

If it costs 1k nanites to merge 2 Good +5 items, then it is 32000 for that stage

Say it is an extra 200 nanites for each step up.

Then for the 16 merges of Perfect items, cost is 19200

For 8 merges of P+1 items it costs 11200

4 merges of P+2 costs 6400

2 merges of P+3 costs 3600

1 merge of P+4 costs 2000

That gives a total cost of 74400 nanites!

So you need 74400 nanites, 64 G+5 items and 63 MS = 9450 BS.

Each BS is equal to 40k on the auction, so money equivalent of stones is 378000000.

Each nanite I will give a cost of 300 Lgo to (that is about right if you do the easy quests, which I do still cos I am a noob lol). So those nanites will cost you 24320000

Now how much money does that represent?

IGNORING the cost of the 64 G+5 items, you would need the equivalent of around 400 MILLION Lgo. If the items cost a MS each (yeah right!) double that. A SS each quadruple that (roughly) and so on...

Possible, but it would take years IMO.

Anyone has better estimates for the amount nanites/cost of items destroyed let me know and I will correct it if I am wrong.

Good luck to anyone who sets out to do this...you will need it haha ;P

Shirt of Orchid (+3) 10-13-2008 02:25 Forum: Sellers - R1 Underworld

I have a shirt of Orchid. Worth 70k Lgo (haven't upgraded it yet).

It is quite rare , so thought I would see if anyone wanted it before selling to shop.
If anyone does, I will upgrade it to +3 an put on auction. It gives a very nice bonus of +17 to all weapon damage, but takes 2 off agility, perception and -10 defense. Very nice for you berserkers or monks Wink

I am looking for SS for it, so if anyone wants to bid that, post here and I will put it on 18 hours.

Agility Pilgramage 10-03-2008 18:28 Forum: Game system

Hi,

I have a question to everyone who has completed the first Pilgramage, in agility.

I have tried it 24 times now. First 10 or so I had 17% chance, next 8 I had 19% chance and since then 29% chance (by improving/buying items).

So for the sake of argument, thats around 20% chance on average over all tries. I know that it is random whether you pass a quest or not, but since this seems to be a little bit TOO unlucky I have wondered if there is something I am missing?

On all but 3 attempts I got the 'it was an uneventful and boring journey' or something like that. 3 times I have had a longer, story type message. It describes seeing glowing disks and fleeing from pursuers. Eventually it says you realize you are where your child was conceived. It seems like this is a success to me, since all the easy and normal quests had only 1 fail and 1 success message.

So what message did you get when you passed this quest, and are there any other messages for failing? Hope it is not a bug..

Thanks for looking at this.

Sound advice Azz. Stats costing 1k+ each...scary when I only have around 5k xp so far! I guess tats don't seem as expensive at that stage.

Tattoos - looking for a guide/advice 09-23-2008 16:42 Forum: Words of advice

Hi, my first post here Big Grin

What I would like to know is, are there any guides on the tattoos available and what the best options might be for me. I am only lvl 17 now - should I even be considering tattoos yet? I have looked at all the effects of the lvl 1 tattoos and I was not exactly impressed. Do they become more worthwhile at higher lvls? Also, do the armour/weapon requirements mean that the tattoo only works in a fight when the requirements are met, or is it like buildings where u just need to meet those requirements when getting the tattoo in the first place?

I know that is asking a lot, and any advice will be appreciated.
