Yeah, I loved that show when I was growing up! The huge hair, the wise comebacks, and darn I can't remember what the uncle's name was but he always made me laugh too! I'm going to sound rather old by saying this but what the heck, I wish they'd make more family oriented shows like that. Fresh Prince....those were the days lol. Everybody wanted to be like Will at my school lol.

I believe there are many factors, I'm getting hit 2-3x a day at around 1k a pop by per person. With this in mind they keep coming back, not because I'm a bad player(at least I dont think lol) but because they found the jackpot. Some of my ambushes can take 15 min and I only get 100 people or, if I'm lucky I get 600 (doesnt happen often). I've lost 5k people to ONE person in one week. Sure it's part of the game but it's going to be next to impossible to get the level of building that I need at this rate imo. Not looking for sympathy but come on, this is crazy.
If not Gendi's suggestion then how about a prison to house the people being one option? Something. Anything. At least with Gendi's idea it'll encourage more to buy prem packages lol. 
edited to add: UG I wish we could get people from quests! For me that seems to be the hardest resource to gain and keep.
Gendi I do see your point, it's not just one resource that is difficult to get and keep for the lower lvls, it's all of them. My biggest problem atm is just people lol.

I'm trying to understand too but what I think it means is that some items are worth more or less (stat wise) than others in certain areas. The +/- means that it either adds X ammt. or takes away from the character stats not weapon once you equip that weapon but doesn't actually strip you of the stats you earned. Meaning that once you unequip that weapon the said effects of that weapon no longer apply to you.
So say that you have a knife and it offers a +2 in charisma, well that would be good if your stats in charisma are slightly behind where you want them. The item mention in the post did not add or take away defence from what was already there. This is how I understand it to be, but I could be wrong. LOL VERY wrong even lol. Like I said, I'm trying to understand too.

Censored, I'm at a similar point right now..trying like a mad woman to get enough people to build one of my buildings. It seems next to impossible but I know in due time I'll get it. Patience just isn't a virtue that I have lol. Sorry I bouldn't be of more help, just hang in there! You'll nail it!!

I had the same problem again yesterday and again today (so far) but only while trying to check ranking. Ambushes and quests worked normally so it didn't affect play too much. However the problem lasted ALL day long.

I'm having the same problem again today 
. It's only on the Necro side. So far I've had the same repeated message for one hour now.
edited to add: It's now 2:43 pm and I'm still getting the same message and unable to do quests. I can do ambushes, check ranking, everything except quests.

I understand that it is necessary, I don't argue that at all. However, it is still happenin, I still cannot start a quest. When it happens as much as it is on my end then it creates a problem, it prevents the game from being played. It also lasts far more than 5 minutes.

Problem description:
"Please wait a moment while the database is being backed up.
Backup will be finished at about 4:30 AM." I've been getting this message for a few days now. It can happen several times in a row while attempting to do quests, ambushes, view ranking, view Throne Hall, etc. and not just once or twice through a normal play day. It happens several times. I'm not sure this is a bug but figured it might be worth reporting just in case.....4:30 am has passed a few times and it still occurs.
edited to add: At this particular time it's stopping me from doing a quest. I've used up all of my ambushes for the current time, quests are all that I have left atm.

Well, thats the thing with any tests for 'intelligence' (even non-dodgy-internet ones)... as they say, if an IQ test was desiged by an Aboriginal, the whole Western world would suck like retards
There are many types of intelligence, eg I can get 96% in a physics test but I'm a social retard, and what's more important really? I love your posts, you make me laugh and I think you're funny as all hell, that's a far more important form of 'intelligence' to me than being able to figure out the next number in a series

You hit the nail on the head when you said there are many types of intelligence! Some people are left brain others are right brain and imho it doesn't make one more intelligent than the other. IQ tests don't take into cosideration creativity simply because it cannot be measured.
Just a thought but I really love talking with the "geeks" in the world lol I get answers to things that have been stuck in my brain that I haven't been able to solve! I mean have you ever talked to a NASA scientist and felt like you hit the jackpot?
