Id in game: Necro 50014

Problem description: would not log in, with no error messages (nor any signs of -or reasons to expect- the character being banned).

(Additional info: I get the usual message when I try an incorrect password. With the correct one, I'm simply returned to login screen.
Other accounts don't seem to be affected.)

Regeneration does not seem to be in the same vein.

There were 2 changes that made Carapace much less useful than it was (and it wasn't so great in the first place): 1. Reduction of HP bonus from % of all HP to % of base HP (BTW it's not recorded in evo description), and 2. Addition of combat stats and changes increasing abundance of damage and defense ignore enchants, making 7-14-21-28 toughness even less important than it was.

To make it more useful, I propose to change the additional bonus of Carapace level 4: instead of +10% HP, make it +10% damage reduction.

Hello, another owner of multiple accounts here.
1. I thought multiaccount is allowed on this server. Yet you list it along with pushing as a reason for ban.
2. wat says he is not going to appeal, but can I ask on his behalf what was pushed?
3. I'm concerned about my own safety now. Any way I could be informed about possible violations between my accounts so that I could try to fix them, instead of being hit by banhammer without warning? I try to follow the rules and I keep track of significant loans, but it's possible I forgot something smaller.

I get the idea of "inflation". You make it so that e.g. 2 years of active playing in 2013-2014 result in the same advantage as several months in late 2015-2016. Very reasonalble, if you want newer players to have a chance without grinding evos for years.

But it is my impression that the FLD bonus sets the inflation rate to too high - it is huge and they are going to need further inflation to cover the rift they are creating now.
It is also particularly unfavourable to me, because of the FLD I've accumulated. And I suspect keeping old players is at least as important as getting new ones :-)

But of course the admins are better equipped to choose the optimal strategy, and final decision is theirs. I'm just giving my feedback (hoping they might reconsider the size of the bonus).

1000 evos and 14 runes is just weeks of work. About 2-3 weeks, to be specific. Still a touch too much for my tastes, but in the jubilee spirit it's fine and reasonable. (It also has the upside of helping current smaller players to catch up.) No objections there.

2000 FLD at 8 locations is literally years of work, I'd say 3 to 4.
That's not equivalent to 1 trillion pop of course, more like "mere" 100 M. But that's enough to make 90% of previous progress meaningless.
If you don't like what RNG offers you just repeat. Only in most cases your enchants will be expensive, and you pass all levels in one run. (First 500 FLD points of my 1000+ were way harder than the next.)

Relative to others, I am not gaining but losing. What am I to be glad about? I've had a chance to take a couple more months and get an enchant in top 1% on my server. Won't have that any more.

Sure, logging in once during these 10 days is trivial. But if you let's say took a break from the game and didn't know the bonus was coming, you'd miss it easily.

(It's an odd cognitive mistake some people have that if some quantity (or probability) is nonzero, its actual value doesn't matter.)
6 months to catch up and 3 years to catch up is a huge difference.

I don't like that what I worked hard to achieve is now instantly dwarfed by a bonus that you only need to log in to receive.

I don't like that the bonus does not extend to people who happen to miss the crucial 10 days - it's ok when said bonus just gives you an equivalent of a few days of progress in some area, not months or years.

I don't see how newer characters are ever going to be able to catch up after this (OK, some changes like introducing epics have helped to narrow the gap in the past, but a gap this big would again require admins to do something dwarfing all previous progress).

2000 FLD at every location? Seems way off. I've been working for months to get 1000 in just one.

Evos and runes seem too much too (compared to the usual and reasonable bonuses from events and lottery), but that's at least an advantage on a scale of weeks, not years.

This one I don't like :-( I suppose it makes sense though, but I think the option should be more restrictive - only 1 change of race per year (instead of 180 days).

Or better yet remove the choice of a target race: each time you try it you are offered a random race different from yours (other than Cursed One), and you have a choice to change or stay, but regardless of your choice the next attempt is possible in 180 days only. If you've already declined some races they shouldn't be offered again - so if you want a specific race you are guaranteed to get it in 1 year (1.5 for Cursed Ones).

Option 2 seems better. Might lose some, might gain some, but not a huge loss as with the option 1.

Rationale sound strange though. True, 1 level difference in Behemoth makes for a huge difference, but with equal levels cultists still have their usual advantage.

It would be really convenient to have a free description of reasonable length (up to 300-500-1000 characters) available for the organizers of expeditions and KotHs to state their intents and wishes, e.g. whether they are going to use the shortening option, how many players they want to join them, whether they need tanks or hitters, etc.
Benefits:
- it can be much more flexible than invitations,
- unlike a clan message it will not clutter inboxes inconveniencing players, especially those who weren't supposed to join anyway,
- you can't accidently remove a message with the specifics of the expedition/KotH you need to know, and the info is not stored after it's no longer needed.

Not everybody out there has LP+ sets of everything with suffixes, so a new quality level does not always mean items are going to be worse. (But of course the Uncanny set bonus should strongly outweigh the loss in stats for those who find it useful.)

I think this allows for a wider range of possible combinations and tactics with fewer obvious choices, and makes the game more interesting without repeating the "now it's all up to randomizer again" story.

I'd like to see something interesting but not changing the game as much as epics did. My proposal:

Make a new item quality level, let's call in Uncanny.

- individually Uncanny items are better than LG but worse than LP;
- as a part of the mixed quality set, Uncanny acts as LP;
- all-Uncanny sets gain additional powerful qualities (even for the sets that were relatively useless), something like this:

Uncanny Copper - "Electric strike": successful melee attacks can cause armour-piercing bonus damage based on Intelligence and Knowledge
Uncanny Golden - "Mint": Lgo income +50%
Uncanny Emerald - "Envy": loots extra Lgo during ambushes (+1% or +1k to the cap for every 5 Intelligence) but only 10% people instead of 30%
Uncanny Hawk's - "Wings": +50 to initiative; taxi, bodyguards, police do not help when ambushing other players but the attack is 5 times shorter than usual (or just takes some fixed time, e.g. 2 minutes)
Uncanny Ruby - "Healer": new arcanum, restores allies' HP
etc.

Thanks for the new and quite interesting development.

It does seem to need further balancing. For one, making Mask of Fear weaker (from 1-2-3-4 to damage for every level of Mask of Caligula) was justified, but now it's much weaker than Claws of Night (and that's for an arcanum that by itself is only useful in ambishes/1v1 and 3v3 arenas, unlike the corresponding Night Hunter which is useful everywhere).

Also thanks for the "samaritan expo" option and the filter for non-legendary items in auctions, both are quite nice to have.

There's much frustration resulting from the way 3 vs 3 teams are matched on r2en. I think less than 1 in 3 fights I've been in were even remotely fair - and usually they were obviously far from the best matches available.

I can think of 3 changes that could address this:
1) Closer matches should be looked for. It's common to see teams with 10000 points fighting against 11000 now - which is a terrible match, with a stronger team usually having over +30-40 total levels.
The way team scores are calculated from the personal ones seems well thought-out, but then these scores are just flushed down the toilet :-(

2) Make the 1 vs 1 fight results also affect 3 vs 3 personal scores (ranking). Some 50% of the change in this score should come from 3 vs 3 results, and the other 50% - from 1 vs 1 results. It makes sense because the combat conditions are close enough, and it will allow for better estimates of characters' power with less dependance on the team choice fluctuations, mistakes etc.

3) The score change after unlikely victories in 3 vs 3 fights should be less dramatic. As it is now, you can lose 10 battles and have your score lowered by 80 points, and then one lucky victory might get you 100+ points. Thus spoiling your chances to have a realistic match for many further battles.
Perhaps it wouldn't feel so unfair if there was also an increased reward (silver coins) in such cases.
