UW final - Changing the conversion rates of stones + auctions. 08-29-2016 10:01 Forum: Announcements

Hi,

ATTENTION! Following topic has been made for UW servers only! For the Necro server there will be no auction suspension.

1) in the coming week we are about to change the way stones are broken/merged.
You can find details in the topic here:
UW idea - Changing the conversion rates of stones

ATM the conversion rate is to be as follows:
10 bs = 1 hs +100 nanites
3 hs = 1 ls +100 nanites
2 ls = 1 ms +100 nanites
2 ms = 1 ss +100 nanites

There will be no loss in the conversion process but for each conversion there will be a set price to pay in nanites (as above).

Old conversion rates for breaking stones:
hs = 5 bs
ls = 12 bs
ms = 18 bs
ss = 42 bs

New conversion rates:
hs = 10 bs
ls = 30 bs
ms = 60 bs
ss = 120 bs

2) Auction values in stones will be adjusted accordingly, to be in line with the new conversion rates.

3) Other (costs, finding rates etc) will remain unchanged.

4) As we would like to avoid putting this patch live while auctions are still running thus causing massive chaos, please be informed that starting from:
Tuesday 30th of august, 8:00 AM UK time (BST).
an auctions lock will be in place, that will not allow any NEW auctions to be started.
ALL PREVIOUS AUCTION WILL STILL BE VALID TO COMPLETE AND TO BE ATTENDED.

5) Ability to start new auction will be reset with the introduction of new patch in Thursday 1st of September 2016 about 11:00 AM BST.

6) All questions please address in this thread:
UW idea - Changing the conversion rates of stones

BWTeam

We will add a feature that will subtract 10 points when you do not participate in 3v3 arena.

Still it will be a bit of work to make it thus we do not know WHEN it will be ready as it has low priority.

Yes, it is normal.

The effect is ment to last until you are out of combat.

Additional KotH levs are regarded as one continous fight.

Hi,

lets make it clear:

1. - You want them to be demoted so AT THE season END they would not be ranked high if not participated actively?

Yes/No?

2. The present system is to ensure that person will not sit inactively LOSING rank and then participating and winning every fight. That would result in quick rank increase and TON of Arena points.

To solve both problems I would rather opt for a post season points loss.
Basically at the season end inactive player will lose 10 points for each arena he was missed.
This will impact only LADDER and will not influence Arena fights balance (high levs will remain high during season) forcing them to fight against equal opponents even if missing some fights.

Please post Your comments.

SM

maintenance for servers: r1UK and Polish R1, R3, R4 02-18-2015 08:32 Forum: Announcements

Dear Gamers,

ensuring the stability and speed of the game we have decided to move servers

R1 uk
R1 pl
R3 pl
R4 pl

to the new server architecture.

The current hardware architecture is about 6 years old, therefore, more and more hardware failures occur.

Therefore, the above-mentioned servers will be unavailable at the time of service maintenance.

Maintenance break starts on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 09:00 AM London time.
Planned completion of the work : the same day at 11:00 AM London time.

Note! Maintenance work can be extended to 13:00, if there are any unforeseen difficulties.

Please plan expeditions / KW in such a way that even a break until 13:00 did not affect the outcome of the above action (ie, players should be as included until 09:00 , unless expedition ends much later than the end of the maintenance interval).

Important : After the break maintenance you will have to log in again using the main game portal.

We count on your understanding of the matter as we feel its imperative to move servers.

We apologize in advance for any difficulties associated with it.

About any problems during the transfer will inform in this topic and via our facebook page.

Simple, fill in the contact form in the PREMIUM tab.

I am almost certain that you either/or:

1. type wrong code
2. try to type it in wrong tab. BEFORE TYPING IN THE CODE YOU MUST SELECT SWEDEN - so that the system could recognize country of origin for that code.

What do all successful EN games have in common?

Real Time Communication with staff and other players.

Integrate Chat Functions into the game browser. I am not talking about an outside link to a chatroom that has never functioned. There are 101 reasons why this is almost a must have in any successful game. You can argue, we already do that, or its not that big of a deal. Guess what... WRONG!

There is going through the motions and there is genuine real time communication with players and staff.

There are alot of points that have been made and been made well.

I just want to comment on the following:

Marketing is key to gain fresh players. That gets them in the door. Once you get them in the door, you need to keep them. There are 3 different areas that need to be addressed.

1. New Players
2. Intermediate Players
3. Very Seasoned Players

Each group has different needs and expectations.

There are alot of free mediums for advertising games
One method you can try is social networking sites like Facebook. Yes you dabble on it somewhat, just no follow through.

Create and incentive for putting a link on our facebook pages. Create real incentives for new sign-ups, additional incentives for the ones that reach a certain level. etc

What kinda incentives? Game incentives like premium days etc, be creative.

Offer Newby Packs with promo codes, so you know which mediums are most effective.

Have a mentoring/coaching program for new players. So they have a point of contact for questions.

No newby wants to be told to go post their question in the forums. AND dont ask a question that was already asked 2 years ago. Oh no dont do that! search for your answers 1st.

That may sound nice to some, but its not effective for learning. How would you like it if your school teachers said the same thing? You have a question? Well the answer is in your text book, look it up.

The problem is when you are a clueless newby, you dont know the game terminology. they havent even decided if the game is worth their time to even make a post. Im not refering to the lazy veteran who wont take time to reseach the answer. Thats a seperate issue.

Lets face it, most research indicates that only 10-20% of US game players are active in game forums.

We can go around and blame the players for the lack of success. We can blame the country they are from, we can blame alot of things.

The reality of the matter is... competition is stiff. As a player, if the game fails..we just move on. If it looks like its on it deathroes we wont waste the time to play the game.

Just my 2 cents

LL

Thx. We shall try and explore such options in the comming months.

Some of the factors on new players joining:
1. Game Marketing/Promoting
2. Competition (other games)

Reasons for new players leaving:
1. Staff/Policies
2. Learning Curve

There are so many new free games out there and they spring up everyday. Some better than others. Just the same, the quality and support on quite a few are top notch. Alot of these games also advertise and market more effectively. They also have staff members that interact with the player population on a constant basis.

Based on my own personal experiance with this game. Having a staff that is not fluent in english is a big handicap during customer service interaction. In fact, I will say that this game probably falls in the bottom 20% in terms of customer service. They come across like they are ban crazy. Ive nerver heard of a game till now that banned you because it felt you tried to login to fast to many times lol, because the server lagged Too me that is ludicrus. There are other issues that I wont go into at this time. This is the feeling I got from the staff. You try to explain and ask questions as to why and how it happened. "you banned, we ban you again if you dont like it" no change mind, you banned too" Ban ban ban you banned. You complain? You banned. You dont like something? You banned. We ban you longer next time. You dont like? we permanent ban you!

Im exagerating slightly, but thats the pseudo message the seem to have sent me.

Im not trying to dictate, how and what they should do with this They are in a competitive market. If they succeed or fail is on them.

My 2 cents

LL

1. You speak about Anti - bot auto ban system?
Becouse I dont see many bans in the pillory.

2. Server OP is studying (MA) English language so he should have no language difficulties. Had You any problems with communicating to him?

I'll have to say one thing. I used to play Guild Wars a long time ago.

The one update they did to the game that was a complete deal changer and made the game so much more interesting is the ability to switch between set ups for characters, choosing whenever you wanted a new main job, and mostly the ability to change second job. That lead characters to be able to use nearly unlimited builds.

In this case, the cost of changing tattoos is very high in terms of stones when you're at 5/5/5/5, especially since it costs premium.

If the good options of this game are only available through paying, then it's a bit of a loosing streak. I would like to see new things put into action.

For example, Diablo 2 got a patch a year or so ago (I used to play it 8 years ago but still have friends who do so they told me that). It introduced a new item. Actually four new items, that you would drop on bosses. Once merged together, and used it would reset all your stats and you could change your build, which was not imaginable years ago.

That would be a nice idea. Each monster in expeditions would have a very small change to drop specific items (blue/red/gold/white/black/etc powder or whatever you see fit). You would need 3-4-5 different of those to first merge them (so it would cost you nanites, mana and a ms).
Once used, it would reset your tattoos but give you the stones back as well as the PoP.

If such a thing was to come into the game, the chance of expedition monsters dropping these items would be around 0.1% which would be extremely low.

To make it more interesting, these items could be tradable on the markets.

There's room for so much more improvement without specifically taking a heavy load on the server. Items, merging combinations of new quest items etc that would make the game more interactive and allow for more build possibilities.

If such items would be so unique/rare and tradable then their price would be around the same as the stones You need to max up tatoo again.

I think it would help in the way that new players see the game ... catching a level 100 player seems more attainable than catching a 12000 point player ... especially when you consider how fast a player gains levels compared to how fast they gain points at the start of the game.

quote:

I have sent it to Konrad to look for best way to introduce such feature.

For this please can you consider that both points and level are shown. Personally i like the ranking done by points as its easier to see how close you are to ranking up. Especiallay as at higher levels the amount of points between each level is much more. If it just says levels you don't know if you are one day or one week from moving up the rank but it is also important to know someones level for the above reasons and arranging expos.
If the rankings are changed to levels then when you go to the ranking screen hovering over a players name should tell you there points.
I know points are on profile page but would save having to go back and forth.

This is egzacly the type of change I have had in mind, just need to think it over to make it right.

Thou there are some parts of game mechanics that had never been made public and will not be. (for obvious reasons)

I realise that it is an open edit tutorial, but it shouldn't be edited by just 'anyone' ... players will usually edit something like that biased towards their own game style and way of playing ... it needs someone who knows the game inside and out from an unbiased perspective to do this, or a player who has proven themselves to be unbiased and knows the game in the most intimate way.

Then I would suggest to make a certain topics if gamers believe such changes are needed.
Such topic should look like f.eg.:
Title: changes in tutorial
current entry: .....
proposed fraze:.....

Topic should be open for discusion so that gamers would come to consensus, supervised by OP/mod who has deep game konwlege and can adress any issues to us directly IF NEED BE Wink

After all OP should update tutorial whit the final version worked out with gamers.

PS. Same way You can do with general game ideas.

Something very much like that, yes ... I'm sure that players with knowledge of HTML could do this themselves however those of us who don't have that knowledge could not, and with banners of the quality of graphics that C47 does ... it would make player based advertising a lot more appealing to the viewer than just seeing a reference link in text form

Additionaly the starters will not be able to get to TOP - EVER just becouse they will not have decent gear.

Now they can buy top gear for they level just in a nick of time simple buy colecting and trading junk.

2. That would kill the game economics and mechanics. You would not need to farm for resources just buy it. Some tasks (f.eg. one about colecting blood) would be useless.
The game strategies (like bleeding out oponent) would not work any more.
Top players would be able to go for exp any time haveing ALWAYS necessery resources.
etc.

1: Bearing in mind the ridiculous prices that some gear that I and some others would consider basic equipment, then there is already very little chance of a lower level player getting hold of it on auction (some high end expos can yield around 50 - 60 stones total from the points/exp they give out) ... thats more than a lower level player will see in a week even with junk collection and sale.
2: Point taken, it would have a very real risk of making ertain parts of the game too easy, and others obsolete.

1. Still, most of that gear (on Moria) can be only used by high lev players.
If at level 40 You would find RARE item the price it could make would set You up for next 20-30 levs.
The other way is that You will have nothing to do with it. Hopeing that One Day ...
Or it would be bought by some lucky at-the-end-of-A1 gamer for small portion of its real value... Personaly I would be pissed of.

You cant start new realm for them. It will die out.
No resources, small group of players...
2. Not possible in the UK - simple, probably You would not recieve A3, ever.
Just the high lev player pool is to small on EN servers.

1 & 2: It would certainly require a lot of thought, but something needs to be done about the zones ... After a while, IF we can increase the server population, there will be a huge amount of problems with player satisfaction again. After z4, the other zones are technically 'locked out' from most players, unless they happen to be in one of the top clans (where they can ask for a 'turn') ... that will still leave the server without the power struggles to help keep the interest levels that bit higher.

This issue comes back frequently in other locations as well.
Depending on the position they held gamers have always different view on this issue.
We have never reached consensus about it.

We are open for ideas.

Again understandable, if there are legal considerations involved then it must be done that way ... however with the lack of z3/2/1 squares, would it then be possible to move the player to z5 after a failed appeal or when the appeal deadline had expired?

Some time ago we have added fix to database that deletes "obsolete" accounts from high zones as soon as it is possible.

F1.
F2.

Aditionaly:

1. You would need to make separate game server for them. See points f1/2

2. Even on Polish servers that would be just impossible.
Players from old server would have gigant advantage over older servers champions.
Ergo, noone would like to "depart" to act3.
Not after he/she worked 2 years hard to be best on their server.

The problem is that not all ppl have a lot of time to spent.
We are trying to make miracles to balance the game time-consumption to be both: adictive/time hungry and allowing for normal life (this matter is more and more a piont in players opinions, many quit becouse they dont have that much time).

We are aware of this issue, it will be addressed in a Act2 fix released in Act3 patch (IMPORTANT!!! not yet completed and will take long to finish!)

Ok, I have been back through the thread and collated the ideas from everyone, as well as put one or two more in there ... if we could discuss which ideas would be the better ones (or merely in which order) to try for implementation, then it would probabally be a bit of a help to the devs in sorting through them. I may have missed one or two, but I hope not too many

A. Communication/updates
1: more programmers/ops
2: ops visiting/posting in forums more
3: get all gripes and observations out of the way from both sides ... a little impoliteness at the beginning may lead to a lot of understanding between us all later

B. Tutorial
1: Rewrite the tutorial (or at least edit it) to bring it up to date with the game as it currently is

C. Perceptions of the game
1: Display levels rather than points in rankings

D. Advertising
1: C47 to design banner ads to replace the reference link (use the photobucket type model and give specific coding for froum posting, social networking, direct IMG code, etc)

E. Auctions
1: Seperate Act 1 and Act 2 auctions so that lower level players have a better chance of getting kit together
2: Introduce auctions for other resources ... blood, people, mana, nanites, etc

F. Acts
1: Work towards seperating the acts completely so that there is always an active zone power struggle in each act.
2: If there is an Act 3 in planning, use the same idea that was originally envisaged for the auction system ... activate it when X players reach the level to enter it and have it seperate from the other two acts from the start.

G. Race Selection
1: Either start players off with a default race and give the selection option at a later level, or give the option to change race up to a given level ... some starters may find that their style of play doesn't fit with the race they have selected, but don't want to restart. The effect that would have is to frustrate the player, and given the options of leaving or restarting they may well choose to leave. Giving them a reselect option (prem days perhaps?) would extend the life of the game for at least some of them.

H. Account Trading
1: Introduce a ban on account trading.

L. Clearance of Banned players
1: Remove banned players from the lists as soon as their appeal is heard, or their appeal time has expired ... this will not only clear space for the people who wish to play within the rules, but will also make it look like a proactive action against rule breakers (also, they contribute nothing to the economy of the game).

M. Items/Upgrading/Merging
1: Extend ritual of blood to cover all quality levels

A.
1. Programmers? OPs?
Programmers - simple unafordable for us. BBgames dont generate enought profit to have loads of programmers, at least enought skilled ones that could be of any help to us. Believe me, as we did tried that. It ended up in haveing extra work.
2. OPs - I have talked to Szeszej, he will be more active.
3. did not understood that, please, dont forget I'm here just a "guest-star", Szeszej is doing MA in EN not me Wink

4. (My own). What I have observed in both PL and FR servers is that a LOT of activity that You are asking of us or ops is performed by community people (mods, gamers etc)
Why it does not work this way here?

B. 1. Tutorial - is open to be edited by anyone. You are free to remake it. Szeszej can support and corect if need be.
Thou there are some parts of game mechanics that had never been made public and will not be. (for obvious reasons)

C. If this would help we can arange that.

D. You wish us to give You: f.eg.

Where:
RefLink is gamers ref link
NiceImageLink is a link to nice image (practicaly any You wish?)

E.
1. Thus You will not be able to buy almost anything also at high levs (where some low levs find decent components) nor at low levs when You may wish to buy some realy decent equipment from top players off-sale.

Top players would be able to go for exp any time haveing ALWAYS necessery resources.
etc.

F.
1. How do You wish to separate f.eg. 50 players?
You cant start new realm for them. It will die out.
No resources, small group of players...
2. Not possible in the UK - simple, probably You would not recieve A3, ever.
Just the high lev player pool is to small on EN servers.

G. This is an option. We will think about it.

H. This would be an empty law. Just someone would not confess to doing so.
IP nr? - I have changed provider.
E-mail change? - I dont like the last one.
etc

L. Cant be done due to legal matters.
The premium needs to end before they are deleted.

M. This topic was rised several times.
there are 2 main reasons in NOT doing so:
1. For most of the time You talk about that its hard to catch TOP players. Then it would be only TOP that would profit from such option.
2. Its cost would be so high that 99% of players would not use it.
3. If it would be cheap then there would be no reason to have such items, they would not be unique any more.

And I won't have anyone tell me this is wrong, simply because I actually live in an ex Soviet country, I have traveled a lot around Eastern Europe, my wife is Latvian, I have a lot of Polish friends, Czech, Belarussian, etc. And I know this to be true. People from these countries know that benefits come at the cost of serious sacrifice.

In France, in the UK, etc ... well I'm French so I should know about that. We're all whiny little freaks who complain constantly about the power in place and expect our governments to make things so easy for us that we should never have to work more than today. As a matter of fact most of the western countries expect their governments to give them more and more social programs, more and more freedom and liberties at the cost of absolutely nothing.

Well, this is an analogy, but this is what it is. And the fact is that even though it's not a good thing, companies operating in the western markets should know this and should adapt to the culture. I'm not saying I approve of that attitude, I'm just saying that westerners tend to want things to be more simple, not so hard and more easy of access. Sushi you should consider that, because customer mentality and perception is a very very important part of developing the right products for the right market.

Just something to think about.

But why on French servers this problem is much smaller than on EN servers?
Both are "Western servers".

Why UK gamers undermine OP authority?

I don't dispute that fact, Sushi, in fact I posted exactly the same thig slightly further up in this very thread ... but as to why EN (Language not location) gamers undermine the ops authority, that is quite an easy one and can be explained in one simple word ... Communication. If Sz was as active in his replies as he used to be (or even half as active) then we would be able to have a lot more communication going on between the players and the devs ... something that has been declining for quite a while.

Have You noticed how many PoP You need to advance from lev 70 to 71 or from 90 to 91?
The term Points is just, an empty simplification and does not reflect how hard it is to level or build character at high levs.
Most PL and FR players complain about dificulity to build up characters at high levs.
It can take more than 1 month to make 1 level.
It can take to kill more than 10-20 expedition mobs to rise SINGLE stat by 1 point.
That is the main reason why high lev gamers get bored and quit at certain point.
What problems do You have at levs 1-20? It takes like 2-3 weeks to make to l20 and it is efortless.

OK, I can accept that as an answer from a high level perspective (and I'll also ask you to please take into account that I was a high level player relative to when I first played at the time these points were first raised)

You're right that it takes 2-3 weeks (less if you're starting with prior knowledge of the game) to get to level 20, and as you say, the term points is a simplification ... but as the rankings board (the only real way that players have of measuring against others) is based on points, then I would argue that it is not empty. You say that high level gamers get bored and leave ... but you have missed the point that it is not the high level gamers that are going to keep the game alive in the long term, it needs to attract more players starting from the ground up, and to do that something needs to be done to make the game more newbie friendly ... showing the new players that they do have a chance of achieving something. It has been shown in this thread that 1 player can make 44 points in an expo (it doesn't matter how rarely, and yes it is an extreme example) ... but even at 10 points an expo, how will that look to a player at, say, 5 points who is getting 1 point per day? I would say it would look pretty intimidating, and would also make it seem as if the top players were progressing at an exponential rate, and therefore would be impossible to catch.

4. Why English players complain all the time?
For long time I have believed that Poles complain a lot, but here I have observed that Englishmen have mastered it beiond my understanding.

We, devs, comunity, OPs, dont understand why do English people complain about something that works perfectly well for all other nations.
Please, explain us. Do You expect game NOT to be chalenging? Or do You expect it to play it all by it self like GoW2?
(personaly I have found GoW1 to be much to easy, when I heard that part2 is easier I have decided not to buy it).

Maybe because we hold a different perspective and see things that other nationals do not, just as people on the PL servers no doubt see things that we don't ... it all comes back to communication, if there were more of it, and if (as was not the case previously) ideas were actually looked at and considered, and then accepted and rejected on their merits instead of being dismissed out of hand with little or no explanation, then there would more likely be less complaints.

I think, in conclusion, you'll find that we don't complain any more or less than players on the PL servers ... but our complaints are about things that you (as a pole ... no disrespect meant) cannot see as being wrong. And as our complaints go unresolved for far longer, it appears that we do.

English speaking community is not interested in our game thus we dont open new serwer. It is simple economics. New serwers would not provide sufficient profit to compensate costs.

Now this brings me back to a point I've made a few times in this thread, WHY have the English speaking community lost interest in BW, WHY are players not inviting into the game ... and WHY are players dropping out at such a rate that it will make the server non-viable at some point in time?

Now it has been suggested that it's the players attitudes that are at fault, but when you consider the amount of nationalities that are present on the server, and the fact that it is not just one nationality dropping out, that would suggest there is a problem with the EN server, or the specific game on there (going back to the points about newbie friendliness and the appearance of relative progression on the rankings table)

Thank You for understanding.
1. I shall have a talk with Szeszej about being more present and avilable for community.
2. Any suggestions how to improve the "feeling"?
4. You are probably right, the major complains are well described by Endonium post quoted above.
Yet we dont want to make a game for ... hmm, not inteligent Wink
Basic concept of this game was that it should be chalanging like games in "old times"
Of coures we can make it more newbie friendly, still I personaly feel that the game is utterly ridicolously easy at low levs and cant to think about anything that could make it easier.
Again any suggestions?
5. Still we have a steel mate here. I dont find the game to be "to difficult" at low levs.
Please, make some egzamples of problems You have there...

Yes 2-3 weeks of utter bordemn? you need to give more help/make it easier at just those levels like if i hadn't got addicted to this game Tongue i wouldn't of made it to level 20, it's simply not fun to play at that level

also the main reason i hadn't started on other servers

To put it simply here.....you need to concerntrate on much better advertising i think that's one of the reasons where not getting a flood of people here, for one i don't think ANY of my friends had even heard of bloodwars before i told them, yet alone play the game

maybe get some more advertisments up etc?

Boredome? Still It made You stay, why it did and why you get bored?
Aint You borred in other browser games that have 2wice less options at start?

5. We did try this yet the effects were so bad that we dropped that idea.
Simple, costs of getting 1 player were substantialy higher than income such player could provide.

The amount of times i have had to explain to friends what blood wars is, its crazy.

How do so many polish players know about it? I have seen some media pieces Majec Prasal has done in polish, it must help.

There are none in english, we need some way to advertise to let people know of the game! It will bring u enough players to open a new realm.

Also, please do not judge the English on one or two peoples posts.

Cheers, hope all is well.

C.

Then how we can MAKE them to hear about us?
During last 3 years we have made several different attempts and all were failures.

We (I in particular) have some observations but I would not dare to post them on forum as some could feel that they aint polite.

At the end sometimes I feel that EN gamers would like the game to have an "pay-for- all" option so they could "own" from the start. (same as in similar productions).
Would You like that?
W observe same change in attitude of youngsters on PL servers, atleast to a point.
Still the game on PL has substantial community that favours the way it is now. (not giving advantage to gamers that spent loads of cash).

Now this is a point that has been brought up many times, and has traditionally been met with the answers 'it works on the PL servers so it should work here' or 'there is no difference between PL players and EN players'. It was suggested a few years ago that the servers should be separate entities for this exact reason ... of course a product should be attuned to the market it is being aimed at, and that is what has not been done with the EN server.

OTNC, same thing, just going to take a couple of points out of your post.

I agree, most of the English players I know (a lot of whom have left the game now unfortunately) loved the game too ... and this was at a time when most people were actively inviting players. There were banners designed for advertising (BloodWars userbars), and they did actually bring players in for a while.

Now the big question is, what went wrong?

Why are so many players now unwilling to invite friends, or to advertise the game on, for instance, Facebook and other social networking sites? or on other forums where advertising other games is allowed?

It is quite telling that another game (Forum rules, can't state the name, sorry) that started out small now boasts over a million players, and the only advertising that was done for them originally was player driven ... so why were players willing to advertise their game, but not this one?

As for judging the English, it would be better if we were each judged on our own merits, regardless of nationality ... but then again thats part of what this thread is about in the first place.

1. I dont think we can develop completly different game "tuned-up" to each country.
Simple we dont have resources to do so.

Why You think it would work? Does Mcraft (I believe You talk about it) has such tuning?
WoW? Or any other "big" products.
The only tune-up that I have met in games is price and language localisation.

What tune-up do You have in mind?

3. Being attacked by high lev players.
As we observe the game is fairly balanced. The attack cap makes good defence.

If You think that someone with 2-3 times more exp is much stronger than You then You are mistaken. They need innormous amounts of exp to rise 1 stat by 1 point.

Most of players advantage comes from high end items.
What problem do You have with fighting off high lev chars attacks?
Most of the time high-levs just dont attack low levs becouse there is no reason to do so, accept colecting resources and there are several ways to protect them.

I have read some of the posts from this topic and on Szeszej resquest I have decided to make some comments.

1. The OPs (for the UK its Szeszej, for the FR its Sofiane) are responsible for contacts with the local community.

There is no company makeing country-customised games. Why? Becouse it doesn't pay off.
If there is any reasonable idea on the national forum the OP is a person to let us know about it. Again, WHY? Becouse it is his JOB and simply we don't have time to baby sit everyone.

2. The patch is being made to slowly/There is not enought info about it and so on.

Patches are being made as fast as it is possible and profitable.
We do have our family lifes and other projects to complete.
There will be no detailed info about patch until it lands on a server. Why? Becouse this would end up in haveing the upper hand by some gamers simply becouse they have read some info on the forum and taken the advantage from it. (eg. by saleing equipement that is going to be tempered to newbies).

3. The MOBS are TOO strong.
Well, I had a good laught here.
For this point I just simply assume that avarage Englishman IQ is = avarage Poles IQ.
About 6 months from now We had to make the MOBS a bit harder to kill becouse a big group of PL gamers was killing them single handed!
Even now I do recieve feed back that f.eg. Golems, Fenix, etc are being sloughtered by a 2 gamers teams and most of those were supposed to be a 4+ oponents MOBS.

4. The French are haveing the same problems.

The UK server stand for 12 months now. The FR server stands for 4 months.
Yet there is over 4 TIMES more ACTIVE gamers on the french server than on the UK. Some of them do play here as well and I have recieved info that they would like to have an Underworld-type server to be opened next.

For Your info:
- WE don't replay on the FR forum AT ALL.
- the complete comunity guidance is led by Sofiane (the server OP).
- he recieves the same data as Szeszej do.

We have noticed only one difference between FR and UK servers. They invite 10-20 TIMES more friends than the English do.

5. Building requirements are to high to reach.

Most of this game is about cooperation if it is too hard to met requirements by your self try finding friends to help You. (some possible reasons are in point 4).
The other game edge is about being creative and exploreing the game possibilities. If an item is too expensive to buy from other players try to make it by Your self.

6. I can't kill SOME MOBS with 1h guns/2h meele/1h meele/etc.

GREAT! Thats egzacly what it was ment to be. The opponents are designed to require different character weapons (builds) to overcome. This should force you to cooperate and interact with other ppl.

7. Some weapons requirements are just too high.

Try to imagine that they are right as they should be (beyond anyones reach). Those items will be usable in time, in a VERY long time.

8. It's almost imposible to kill MOBS with some weapons.

This goes to the 1h firearms only. They are deadly in ambush and almost as deadly in the sieges.

Tommorow there will be a special test-patch loaded on Moria 1 to test some changes in the game concept.
They should switch the movement speed during sieges. (the desired is a: firearms/ranged/meele).
IF the test prove right the changes will be loaded on all Moria/Underworld servers.

PS. Sorry for misspelling.
Best regards,
SM

Personally I have been rised in catholic family (almost like alcoholic Wink ) but I dont find Christmas time of catholic event.
(ps. I find big difference between Christmas and Christmas Eve; the second one is a catholic event)
It's a commercial event for ppl to spend lots of money and have a time with their families.

Of course You can say I dont like recieving a Christmas/new year wishes from the administration, but I dont think that enyone can say that a Snow Ball is a christian symbol neither the Santa Claus.

It is simple:

1. Each line of ad must consist of no more than 35 signs.

2. There are 2 lines of text.

3. The ad have been changed.

4. The graphic ads are payed for the number of views (thus VERY expensive) the text ones are payed for ad clicks.

Personaly I don't see the problem, there are 144 squares in the 3rd zone. Thus min 12 clans can hold the whole zone.

Alwayse the strongest players held the best squares.

What the patch did, was to enable the stronger players to unite under one banner.
