Hello, me again,

So, is it possible for the clan armoury to be sectioned into editable groups / shelves?

I'm guessing the fact that it is a shared resource is the cause of the difficulty; but what if you moved the clan armoury to separate (maybe a pop up), would that make it viable?

I have no concept of programming so I don't understand how the pages work, but it would make life a lot easier and more ordered for people borrowing stuff if the clan leader / deputy could organise the CA into usefully grouped items.

BTW, forum users, your constructive thoughts please.

On the Well page, can we get an option to decrease an item straight down to normal+1?

Or get rid of the annoying "Are you sure you want to do that?" pop up.

Is very handy when merging, and current clicky clicky is a pain.

Although, you could argue that if you spent 'thousands' of stones on getting that item, there's probably less chance you would sell it, and if it was that good, then the market price would push it up anyway.

My point was 'setting ridiculous prices that are not relevant'.

e.g. someone drops a Perfect Sharp Knife of Leader on a quest and then spends the next 5 weeks putting it on the auction with a reserve of 700 BS, then 500 BS, then 300 BS, and so on until it finally sells for what it is really worth....... 2 BS.

Or it is sold to someone's mate to swap stones for a price of 2 MS.

Don't believe me - check the closed auctions.

If that's not a 'push', and therefore an abuse of the system, then I don't know what is.

It is one of (many) things that have bugged me about this game - the apparent 'rules' that only seemed to be enforced when one of the dev team can be bothered.

Well that's my rant over, as usual nothing constructive will be done here. This server is dead anyway so who gives a shit.... not sure why we're still bothering to make games suggestions, there's only 50 people playing the game! Tongue Big Grin

ok here's a really wild idea - why not remove the option to set a reserve price on the auctions?

Reasoning:
1) it would (in my warped mind) make the auctions fairer as people couldn't set high prices for their mates to swap items, etc

2) make it more exciting for all the players rather than just the ones who are sitting on stockpiled stones

3) eliminate people setting ridiculous start prices that are not relevant to the item

Can't remember if this has been suggested before, but how about the option to remove or cancel you own bid on the auction?

A couple of reasons why this would be helpful:
- some of us are numptys & bid on the wrong things
- sometimes you've bid all your stones on an item, but then a better item gets put up on a shorter finish time

Any thoughts?

Hey BWT,

Hate to moan & all that, but I don't think your 'new' clan arena algorithm works on UK Underworld - just not enough active clans to make a difference I think.

We have fought the same two clan every week for about two months... it is a little dull.

How about you throwing in some wild cards, like maybe a random chance of a mob clan instead? Something like the werewolves or the St Benedict's - but loads more of them & make them a bit tougher! Big Grin

Adding them to tattoos would be superb.

I'd like to see two things (which may be a nightmare to code, but I know nothing about coding so...):
1) Stackable runes - so you can chose to put more than one rune on one item / tattoo
2) Rune merging - one of the most addictive/ annoying / rewarding things about Underworld is the merging capabilities; so do it with the runes as well and we will all spend the next 5 years tearing our hair out and swearing at the BWT Big Grin Tongue

Like we have on the arena screens, can we have the disposable drop down list on the attack, quest, join / start siege, join / start expo, & join / start KoTH ---- and any other places I forgot.

Those drop down menus are so handy - much easier than have to click through pages, plus you may not be online for end of expo to buy a disposable etc.

BWT make it happen - seriously, what have you got to lose? Stop talking about it, stop over-thinking the problems & make it happen now!!

This server is as dull as dishwater; biased towards the top 50 players (who are mostly in one clan), and completely at the end of its natural life anyway - so what have you got to lose by implementing now?

Will it really matter to you if it completely fucks this server? No. If it does you can just pull the plug, its only a matter of time before you do that anyway. In fact if you do pull the plug you could re-set the UK server and start it again from scratch --- that might actually put some life back into it! Big Grin Tongue

I am currently in holiday mode, and logged in just to check messages. Usually when in holiday the resources per hour amounts would be zero, but mine still seem to be active, and my blood points are showing at 5, even though I have lots of blood.

So, finally after....... 5 years of playing this game, I got around to meeting up with someone else who plays it! Big Grin

Myself & Mrs. Squid spread our tentacles across the channel & visited the RedRanger in Germany to see Amplifier play - good gig. Smile
The big Red was an awesome ambassador for his country & showed us around in style, unfortunately we did not get to meet the other big German player Horst of Horst, I think may be because he was afraid I might smother him with tentacle love? Tongue

Can someone answer me this:
Do basic items merge different results to items with per/suffix?
Or from Ledgendary?


Because either I am going mad, or this game is starting to censored with my head - have the Dev's changed the merge order on some items?

Example:
I merged this a while back:
Items merged: Legendary Good Javelin of Reaction and Legendary Good Pilum of Precision.
Result of transformation: Legendary Good Heavy crossbow of Reaction.

I am currently checking what merges a throwing axe & get this:
Item 1
Pilum (+1) Remove
Item 2
Javelin (+1) Remove
Effect of merging
Throwing axe (+1)

So what is going on there?? Merging is hard enough without random changes to mess it all up. Frown

Hello BWT,

I have a couple of ideas for your consideration:

1) Full Plate Mail should get a bonus to Charisma & Reputation at P+
Game-play Reasoning: it is a high level item, and by the time you can wear it at P+ you are usually taking a lot of damage from players, so a little HP bonus in defence & attack with this item would I think be really positive for its use, etc.

Role-play Reasoning: traditionally full plate armor was only worn by the very wealthy & high status - therefore they would have the respect and admiration of their followers - which as we all understand is the point of these two stats. Let's face it, if you are gonna walk into battle with a shinny piece of metal weighing you down, then you've got cojones! Big Grin

Which leads me to my next suggestion:

2) A new clan building called "The Clan Colours"
Game-play: this building would only need 1 level, and once built would create a new page link in the Well of Souls (or where-ever you guys think it would fit best, there being no Well in Necro, etc).
The building enables any member of the clan that has built it to add their "Clan Colours" to a single piece of armor (just armor - not hat or pants) in their personal armory at any time. The benefits from the "Colours" would add 1 of 3 choices:
a) A boost to Reputation
b) A boost to Charisma
c) A boost to Defence

The cost of adding the "Colours" would not be cheap:
a) they can only be applied to items that are G+ (possibly worked out on a sliding scale of how good the item is???)
b) the lowest actual cost would be 1 SS
c) the improvement can be removed, but to add a different improvement to another item costs again

Example:
Clan A builds the "The Clan Colours", and Player A (a lvl 50 character) improves his Good light Cape with 5 Charisma at a cost of 1 SS. Player B (a lvl 85 player) improves her Perfect+1 Vest of Deathsower with 10 Reputation at a cost of 6 SS. When Player A gets a few more levels he decides to remove the Charisma & add 6 Reputation to his G+2 Suit of Deathsower at a cost of 2 SS....... etc.

Actual costs could be worked out with a little more thought.

Role-play Reasoning: well, I would've thought it was obvious - if you are in a clan that you're proud of, then you would not only want to wear those colours, but you would expect whoever you came up against in battle to know either recognise them and be afraid & respectful. Big Grin

And now that you can beat me, do I cry to you ever? No. As Kal quite rightly points out, once you put the effort in & improve (or get a better character from someone) then it really doesn't matter does it.
I get spanked by a load of people daily, and good luck to them. Mainly because my defensive set up is rubbish & I have never properly invested in it - because I think it is lame to sit & horde all the resources like a little munchkin-dragon; high defense set-ups suck (that is my opinion), spread the resources around is what I say. Sorry dude, I don't like the idea.

There is already enough of people "swapping" items through the auction system, by setting prices etc. This option would just create a way of making it impossible for others to get a look in on any really nice or useful items.

The point of an "auction" is that anyone with enough stones (cash) can win. So even if someone agrees a sale price, there's always a chance that someone else will want the item & try & out bid the person who has agreed the price with the seller.

You can't compare BW auctions with ebay - the buy it now service on ebay is for people usually selling large numbers of the same item. Which would work in BW on stuff that spawns; but what about the stuff that doesn't spawn? It's got be a fair system that allows the chance for someone to win those items too.

Q = Lvl 91 - the question asked for the level all evos could be "achieved", not used, and as the level restriction on Daemon Blood & Claws/Fangs/Quills is 91. That is the answer... very simple. Tongue Big Grin

Lvl 83; would be the correct answer at which you would have collected enough evo points... which begs the question of the BWT, are there more evos in the pipeline? Smile

Ok maths geeks & nerdettes, here's the question:

Q: If, starting at level 65 (Act 3 entry point), a player was to be successful in all his/her attacks and gaining the maximum amount of Evo points possible per attack at what level would the player achieve all 4 levels in every evolution? (answer worth 25 points)

Some quantitive restrictions:
- remember that other players can only be attacked twice in one BW day
- the player did no quests, expos, arenas, or gained xp in any other way
- due to the variables of zone location & tattoo xp bonus; we will assume that the player has an xp bonus of 18%, and is in a Z4 square attacking other Z4 players only.




Additional parts for the truely nerdy: (extra credits you know you love 'em!)

Q(1): Calculate the number of points of progress that character would be; given that they entered Act 3 at exactly level 65. (answer worth 25 points)

Q(2): Calculate the amount of experience they would have recieved. (answer worth 25 points)

Q(2): Calculate how many days it would take the character to achieve this goal if they were: a) Premium paying; b) Non-premium paying. (each answer worth 10 points)

Q(3): Calculate how many of each denomination of Stones they would have received during their epic adventure? (that's an easy bonus 5pts!)



And for the truely uber nerds:

All correct bonus answers requiring xp calculations will be given a 25 point approximation allowance window; e.g. if the actual answer is 150,000 experience points, then anywhere between 149,975 - 150,025 will be correct.
But obviously if are a true geek, you will want to ensure all those numbers are exact! Big Grin

I will happily post more reports, because I get raped by 1h gunners very easily.

I do not particularly care, but I find it a bit annoying when there are so many bonus to dodge melee & ranged in the evos, and none to dodge guns.

Yes, there are sets you can build to help dodge guns, but tbh, they are lame - only Hawks is any good stats-wise, yet the dodge on that actually decreases as the items get better, and making/buying a Hawks set is ludicrously hard!!


My second point would be:

7.2 Melee 2h:
- Flail (DECREASED DMG)
The rest will recieve INCREASES
- Pike (damage, perception)
- Halberd (damage, perception)
- Katana (damage, attacks in exchange for damage)
- Chainsaw (damage, chance for critical hit)

Really??? 2h melee need more damage bonus?? You are taking the p**s with that aren't you?

I haven't used 2h melee for some time, but I seem to remember not having any problem doing damage with the items I had; in fact the problem was always whether I could hit stuff or not, even with ledge bonus. Once I hit them, they usually fell over.

Now you guys can all rant at me blah blah blah, I don't really care. I know my shuri's do lots of damage, etc. my comments are not out of complaint as such, more just observation --- don't take it as a personal insult to you or how you play the game; I was/am just pointing out that I don't think this game is as "balanced" as some people think it is, and I know I am not the only person to think it. Wink
