Sorry if I got that wrong, but why do you need to change your equipment as ranged user to be able to use your legendary? I would think any ranged user will have already some items with +dmg in their equipment as the reaction base damage basically sucks balls anyways.
But in the first place I am not quite sure where the entire argument here comes from. The ranged users are overpowered in ambushes/sieges as is already which you can see by just how many people are using ranged items. Now you even got something that lets you basically hit most expedition mobs as in your legendary shuriken. So wheres the problem with it anyways?
Even if you have to use a different set of items for expeditions now to draw out the full power of a legendary it is still better than not being able to use ranged there at all. And using different sets is nothing that uncommon for other tatoos either. If we all could just equip our Legendary shuriken of reaction and go plow everything in ambushes/expos/sieges down with ease, then there is no point playing any other tatoo path is there? Smile

I do agree though that there are some legendaries that are alot stronger than others, pretty easy to say that 1 hand melee and ranged are one of the losers in the equatation as for simple items comparison. But you can see that being displayed pretty nicely with the late popping up of all the 1hand gunners.

Ah yea sorry, misread it hehe.

Well it doesn't change the fact much that 1 hand melees and ranged dont have to worry much about legendary until high levels I guess. Not much gain from using them except maybe crossbows in expos for ranged users to give them a better chance to hit a mob. Smile

Didn't you say that legendary items are a "scoop-off"? Smile I mean why would a level 50 bother with those then if they most likely haven't set their gear or jewlery yet to the optimal state?
I can understand that sniper, gunners or bks need their legendary items earlier as snipers lack damage, gunners have issues with perception/+hit and bks with hitting any high agility encounter if they want to meet their tatto requirements.
But what have hunters to complain about here? They got insane damage for little to no effort on a weapon. Hard to ambush as high perception, tough to defend against due to the sheer amount of attacks in ambushes.

The only valid complaint for a Hunter would be their expo useability and for that the +hit from the legendary is actually beneficial? Less damage but least they can use their ranged weapons where as else they would struggle? Smile

Just use legendary as expo weaponry if you need it and else use the regular items for ambushes? Pretty sure it will be just fine that way.
Not like they going to change the legendary weapons anyways. The Devs don't care much about things once they released it, should know that by now! :p

Hit is counted together so if the 1 wep got -8 hit and the other +16 .. it will be +8 in total.
I didn't mean to belittle your agi either if thats what you thought. I just said that 10 agility difference or more like 6-7 with the hit counted in wont lower the chance for a successful hit to 10%. Smile

10 agi ain't a world of a difference. Even if the +hit from the dagger is not enough to give it close to 90% chance for a hit, the difference of 10 Agi is too low to make the chance for hitting you 10% or such. I d suspect the chance to hit you is lowered to approx around 70% counting in the +hit from the dagger.

I agree with Chtullu on this. While I don't think a maximum bid should be put into the game I still think the rule that the seller should report their own auction if he/she thinks they got too many stones is pretty much stupid.
But banning the seller over it is plainly unfair and could be interpreted as way to get easy cash from premium account users.

The seller is not guilty unless their guilt is proven. The admins can check the PMs of the seller to see whether there has been correspondence between seller and buyer beforehands or if the IPs are overlapping etc. If there is no proof of that kind within the game then the admins are just assuming it is a set up pushing which is groundless.
In the first place deleting the item and the stones paid would have been enough to resolve this situation. Any other action is unjustified.
Banning a paying customers on groundless assumptions and thus not delivering the service they have paid for is not quite legal either, just as a side remark.

Yea, but the reporting would lead to nothing as it would be a regular purchase. Meanwhile not being able to bid more than a BS because there is a maximum bid set on it, would mean it is clearly pushing.

Total arcana: 5 men are taken over.
Absorbed are 3 policemen, arcana works on 2 bodyguards. So the 2 bodyguards you take from him are nullified by the absorbing of 2 policemen he takes from you. Thus in total only 1 policeman being taken over as a result.
If he had absorbed only 2, you would have taken over 1 bodyguard.
If he had absorbed 4, then he would have taken over 3 police guys.

Well for a defense gear setup I would think something along the lines...

Good Helmet of Adrenaline (+3)
Field Vest of Master
Titanium set (suffixes would be nice but not crucially needed)
Compound/Panzer Shorts (suffixes could be Rogue, Arms Dealer or Scout but not necessarily needed)
Good Light Mace of Bloodsucker (+1) or alternatively Crystal Mace of Bloodsucker.

As BK that would allow you to keep your tatoos alive while also having 250+ Defense. That would for sure take care of most gunners and lower Agi ranged. Granted of course that setup requires you to get your buildings etc up to have a bit more HP in defense but that is usually not such a big concern. Most 1 hand meleers will struggle with the high defense. Your weaker side would be other 2 hand melee users that have higher Agility so you can't kill them and gunners with high reputation and alot of damage to live through your defense swings while mowing down your HP.

I am by no means a BK expert so my setup may be a bit flawed but my idea of an ideal BK setup would be something along the lines of...

Assault Helmet of Adrenaline
Field Cape of Death Sower
Titanium of Accuracy set
Elvish Shorts of Scout
weapon of your choice.

Of course that is kind of far fetched and would take quite a bit work of course.

A cheaper approach as in less rare components needed may be...

Helmet of Adrenaline as high as possible, ideally Perfect+
Vest of Death Sower (+5)
xxx of Levitation
2 xxx of Youth/Levitation
Elvish Shorts of Rogue (g+5) or Perfect+ Elvish Shorts

Somehow I would prefer Youth/Levitation jewelery over plain accuracy as that would give you strength and agility instead of agility only but well it is a matter of taste I guess? Smile

Well just a thought on possibilities. But i don't claim to be any kind of expert on BKs so don't judge too harshly. Smile

Currently you can have 80 +40 which would be with full expended option. So not sure where the idea with bigger servers comes from. Even if it is 120 +40 I doubt you will need bigger servers due to that. The bigger server joke came about with 500 items armory space I think?

No, I have 40 fixed items that I need for my daily gaming (counted them up). Leaving me with 40 items to the armory cap. If I want to least keep the valueable merge components I will have to give away at least 20 slots. Leaving me with 20 slots I can use for not so great merge items I still can use to merge into upgrades for my current gear and the odd utility item and other stuff I want to keep.
So yes, like I said before, I am not in the same situation as Scyanide, I am fine with 80+20 armory slots.
That doesn't mean though that I shouldn't be aware of the problem and offer a solution and an argumentation towards my solution as Szej asked for above. Smile

That is a warped attitude, Evan. Even if you are one of the people who don't merge items together you still have to buy quite a few items from the auctions. And I am pretty sure there is at the very least 1 item among those you bought that was merged by someone else to be sold.
So basically you want the benefits of merging items by being able to buy good items on auction but on the same hand you don't want to help those actually doing the merging to have a proper armory foundation to work with. Quite an interesting hypocritical view of the matter.

The argument that people will ask every several months for 40 more armor space has been answered in my previous post already.
There is a set of fixed/steady items in everyone's armory that takes up x number of slots by default as you need them for your daily gaming. That x number won't suddenly increase just because you got 40 more armory space. Just the same as you won't suddenly start eating with 2 forks and 2 knives just because you have the funds to buy them now.

The major problem is that this x number of fixed/set items takes alot percent of the armory space because the total armory space is too small.
Thus if the maximum armory space is increased to 120 it will mean that those wanting to collect items for merging etc will be allowed to actually use approx 80 slots for that. Smile

I know where Scyanide is coming from. Even though I don't have as much luck finding good items as him I am steadily over my armor capacity too and have to rely on the expendeded Armory option.

Just looking at what higher levels usually need makes you realise that the space in the armory with 80 is too little.

Your usual gear, expo gear, quest gear, ambush gear (rep or such), defensive gear. Even if those overlap, that should be easily 40-50 items that need a steady place in the armory. Now add to that the utility gear like shamanistic sets, arcana jewelery etc.
That leave maybe 30 free slots in the armory for items that are not part of any of your daily needs.

I don't think that you have to split the armor expansion possibilities by zone. Someone in zone 5 can't usually upgrade it that high due to requirements anyways.

But if the Developers could at least consider allowing 120 armory space, that would help alot of players. For those needing even more than that I think it is valid to claim the expended option. But 80 is really low, honestly. Especially since there is no option to store items in other places like in many other games. Smile

Not sure I would discard 200+ hp regen per round as useless on Expos or Sieges...
Of course in ambushes you wouldn't be able to get that much as you would need different gear to be able to defeat your opponents but then again later on ambushes don't play a big role either.
Oh and a bloody set would be pointless as you need the Agility from the gear slots or you will have trouble to hit anything at all. Wink

Is is it just me or do we only get server events that make playing even harder on the blood problems than it already is?
Last server event was +50% regenaration cost, now we got +200%.

I am sorry but considering how sparce blood already got in the higher levels / z3. How about rethinking the server events some? Or how about just leaving them off totally? Not like we gain anything much from them usually anyways :/

For each act 2 player in an expedition there is a percentage of increase in strength of the mob, stats and hp. Was like that before too but I think it was "bugged" and didn't work "as intended". At least I didn't think the increase was too dramatic before with Act 2 players in an expedition, the other patch was way more effective in that regards.
That being the over-optimal level thingy.

Now this probably won't affect the top 20 much, as diablo said they have to go with 5 now to a Medusa. But then again we have to go with 5 for a Hydra hunt and since the maximum allowed levels increase per higher mob I think it is safe to say that the higher you get, the more people you would be supposed to take on an expedition so 5 is surely not the maximum number of people you could take on a Medusa.
Thus in all honesty, the ones getting royally screwed over here are the lower/mid level players and not so much the high level players.

That is what made the patches so bad in my opinion. Because if the lower/mid levels loose interest in this game, the higher levels will slowly die away and the game will fall apart to a degree that you won't be able to do any high level expeditions anymore to begin with due to lack of people.

It is no secret that BW is a longterm timesink type of game. Everyone who plays this longer than a week should realise it if not sooner. Smile
While I can share your resentiments towards certain aspects of the game it is also a question what you seek within the game.

The path the devs are taking with this game is pretty clear especially with the last big patch which introduced act 2. They pretty obviously want to bind people into playing this game longtime to achieve their individual goals. Just need to see the drop rate of legendary stuff and combine that with the needs of merges etc.
The expo patch basically aims for the same goal too. They make helping smaller players more difficult so that those have to invest more time to get their badges instead of the "easy" way around it.

If you cannot accept this fact and look for something faster paced and with faster achievements/more action, then I think it is a wise decision to leave this game behind as it won't ever be able to provide you with it.

If you are looking for a game where you can log in once a day for an hr or such without hassle of needing to be online at a certain time and similiar, BW should be an okay game for that.
I think that is also the reason why this all-out-war idea will never ignite huge enthusiasm. There are alot more people who play this game in a laid back style than there are those who want to keep a steady action going.

They have overlaps but they not identical. There are differences in ring and neck merges. Think I seen that argument on polish forums too and it was rejected with some counter examples. Well I am no jewelery expert though, just passing on info. Smile
