hi i am a THOUGHTCATCHER and i need help on wht weapon best suite this race and which stats should i concentrate for this race.......is it sensible to use melee and gun combination instead of gun gun or melee melee.......some one plz help...

its kind of open for you
As a TC i dont think any particular weapon suits you the best.
However, there are so many gunners around at the moment, it is hard to beat them all with guns.
When u get to a highish level, melee may be a good option if you get a good enough setup.

so combining melee and gun is it a bad or should i stick with single weapon attack.....like attack only with melee or gun.....

combining melee and gun would be hard
as it would be like ranged you will need high agi and perception
to be able to hit with both your "melee" "gun" combo
focusing on one of them is much easier
lol i dont know anyone who uses both at same time lol

Only very low levels use a combination.

You need Agility to hit with melee.
You need Perception to hit with guns.
If you are getting these stats you might aswell just use a ranged weapon...
Thoughtcatcher is ok for any but for best results using melee you need Cultist or Beastmaster.

Mellee is fine too. Will be useful against the many gunners.
TC arcana is great for extending your HP. which is good for any [melee/range/gun]er.

NightWalker you will be much better off just using a ranged weapon rather gun and melee.

i have a question regarding the price of some high/low lvl items which cost more dont have good effects but their r some items which have good effects cost low.......why is tht so and how do u guys evaluate these items......

some items are expensiived because of good qualities.
Shorts of night at Good have +20 or more agility, thus is expensive.
Good antique flail: +23 agility, 80k. Good antique mace: agility +23, 2k [or something low]. Because flail has much more damage
legendary AK47, huge attacks + damage, thus expensive.
basically, lots of luck, agility and or perception = expensive. Not always the case. I.e. runic items are worth more than other luck items, i.e. good runic shirt is worth more than good shirt of looter, even though they have the same luck. But runic has the luck in the set bonus also, thus more expensive, whereas looter is obselete.
if you have specific queries on certain items i can explain in depth.
solar is a nice gunner set and rare. perhaps small bonusses, but worth alot.

but if u compare good ak47 and Perfect Magnum their isnt much difference but ak47 cost lot more than Perfect Magnum why is it so......
btw my experiment with gun and melee didnt work against gunner but its good against ranged and melee players......

as a gunner the most important stat is perception, without a doubt.
the other important stats are toughness, knowledge, charisma, and reputation.
good gear for gunners
+perc on head, prophet, sheperd, precogntion.
(in early game, good horned XXX works very well)
+perc on body, good hunters XXX
(later in the game, +damage on body is great option, orchid, caligula)
+perc on legs, sun, sheperd
+perc for jewelry (solar, hawks)
+perc jewelry is very expensive, and in high demand. until you can find/afford some...
I used to use vengeful set on offense (great with 1H guns, gives extra atack to each) and diamond set for defense (+5 dmg per hit, massive char boost)
plastic set is nice for defense until you can land a diamond set.
thought catchers have no affinity to any weapons, but they have the natural dodges. (if I was TC) I personally would become a ranged user, since you will have both high agility and perception. making any opponent you face have a hard time to hit you...

most of ranged weapons have negative effects and their isnt any good ranged weapon compared to guns......

Reaction has good bonusses.
Only vengeance has bad bonusses...
Shuriken of reaction is a deadly item.

Earlier on with 1H guns, as a gangster, I used deadly cpa of cuation (I'm a thoughtcatcher too).
It provided a little percep boost, but it gave me a nasty damage boost... aftera while I switched to deadly of shepherd. Now I use good bandanna of cuation + 2... good solid damage, good percep
