A couple of things I'm confused about :

How is it possible for someone to have five attacks per round with a throwing knife which is a two handed ranged weapon that does 2 attacks per round?

Are tattoos worth it? It seems like a lot of points to get and upgrade tattoos and those points could be put into stats instead. What makes the bigger difference and what are the advantages?

Ok I'm guessing when the knives are upgraded they get more attacks or maybe it's something else. The tattoos I'm still curious about though.

Tattoo's are worth it but I wouldn't get any untill your certain what kind of player you are. You don't want to shell out all that experience on tattoos you can't use.

As for the knives yes you get the extra attacks when you upgrade. Most weapons get additional attacks when you upgrade them. For example daggers get an extra attack at +4. There's a thread on here somewhere with a list of when weapons get there extra attacks. Maybe someone would be so kind as to add a link.

The more you ugrade them the more attacks they have.

Yes, they are worth it. At later stage of game you won't be able to compete with others and also with expedition monsters without them.

And as Roostie said, wait with making a tattoo until you are sure about the path. At the beginning some tattoos may seem great but later you can regret that choice.

One simple rule to follow with tattoos (the second after think it through first Tongue ) is to upgrade a tattoo when the stats you want cost more.

True, some tattoos are really tempting (I might go straight for Discipline once I finish playing around with my Perception) but if you have a 1000 Pop, your next stat you need costs more then that, pick up the tattoo.
