Evan inspired me to start this one, i see some of my pictures posted in the our photos thread sparked some discussion with regards to the smoking ban in ireland, drinking in general, and a reference to Nhan's sphincter...
So let this be a thread where we can discuss this sort of thing.
Lets keep it PG course! I dont want tasteless rants about how you got legless and bedded some girl who turned out to be alot less pretty when you took your beer goggles off the next morning...

yeah when its rainin its bloodly awwful.
though most pubs now have pretty good beer gardens to have a smoke.
but the un-nessasary hassle of having to walk outside have a smoke thats half wet due to rain and then go back inside to find ur seats have been takin,grrrrrrrrrrrr.
and to all irish players theres rumers that the government want to copy america with the 21 age limit to drink en stuff.
anyone like to clear that up plzz do.

id be same metalmouth if i know theres goin to trouble in a certain pub id stay away.you only get dragged in to it.
on a warm sunny day like today i was out for 1 and it was grand sittin outside the pub.theres notin better.maybee if the point was free lol.
as for the noobs who go out get pissed and fall around they bloody shoudnt be allowed in in the first place.if ur a noob drinker stay at home with a few cans and mates and dont go to the pub untill u can handle urself better.

well im not sure about the over 21 drinking age, but as of september the age for smoking is going up to 18 in the North, i feel sorry for anyone who has just turned 16 and is gloating the fact they can legally buy fags heh heh

The age limit for drinking was being considered by the Dail, but has been rejected to this point on advisement from various organisations (mainly those that deal with youth drunkeness - can't think of the names of em at this point) as they say it will not discourage drinking in young teenagers any way at all and will only make the lure of drinking stronger for school going teenagers.
They have on the other hand decided to tax alcohol further. Even those that are notorious for being cheap. Like imports, Dutch Gold (please god tax that pee water) and Bavaria and others.
They have said they cannot control the price as set by the manufacturer, but they can tax it. So basically the government is going to be like one big off licence, making money off alcohol...... Mind you, that should help stop the lull in economy here. =)
Now, back to point, embarrassing beer stories.... I have so many, where to start.... Mmm, yeah, I tried typing one here about an embarassing act of cunning linugistics, but I couldn't keep it PG.

Embarrassing beer stories, non sex related, I have aplenty. Like one time, I was drinking in my brothers bar (was Casino Manager at the time and rarely took nights off, suffice to say, when I did, I got plastered - pint of vodka), when eventually Donal (another barman) turned around and said "Matt, you have had enough son, go get some sleep" ---- to which I replied "what? if Mikey was here you wouldn't say that" ---- "Mikey is out back, he doean't want to deal with you" ----- (me) "Is my money not good enough here?"
That is THE most embarrassing thing I have ever said. Took me a while to live that one down. But when I did eventually go back to the bar it was my brothers turn to turf me out..... Well long story short, I knocked him out with a punch..... (again I was langered, so I am amazed I even hit the target lol). Bouncers were all over me that time, til the guy I worked for came out and flashed his Garda badge at them. I then turned on him...... I am amazed I stayed in that job as long as I did lol.
(yes that naughty garda was running a job on the side, for shame)

One of my worst moments was at a session at the end of the pier in my hometown Warrenpoint. Wed gone for a few beers in my mates house at about 4pm, went to the pub, then after went drinking at the end of the pier.
There was 4 lads n 2 girls if i remember correctly, just friends. Anyway one of the girls was drinking red wkd and i grabbed it as id no booze left. But i spilt it between my legs and i was so drunk, i announced to the crowd id had my first period..
Wasnt allowed to live that down for a while...

Hmmm due to the very first thing I realise that there isn't much to tell. Other than when I got done by a cop... was a little smashed and well yeh me and my mate both needed to pee, so I went round the back of an alley out of the way and went againt the wall, lo and behold a cop car comes up and the guy gets out... the other stays in the car, (this is true)
he said to me, 'Stop please you are offending the public,' and I looked around, nobody in sight, 'I don't see any public,' I said back to him. Then he said, 'Well you are offending me.'
I had no choice, I had to say it, 'Why is it bigger than yours then?' Out came the ticket book, whilst the cop in the car is wetting himself on the seat in laughter, I got a ticket and tenner fine.
the worst part is that my mate was running up and down the highstreet peeing through letter boxes to the main shops, out in the open AND HE DIDN'T GET CAUGHT!
Other than that it's all sex and rock'n'roll

One of the worst thing ive done while drinking was i fell asleep in some fellas garden at 4 am, woke up not knowing were i was and had 2 walk 3 mile home. thr worst thing was i had left for college on the monday morning and didnt get home till midday tuesday, lol

Ah we're telling storys eh, I have some pretty bad ones.
Usual friday night out, me and my friend were just walking about with a few big bottles of booze, we were pretty pissed and everyone had left so we wanted to do something fun.
We walk down this small ally way and see some caravan/mobile home think pulling out - this is where it gets insanely stupid.
So my friend says "Wana hop on?" crazy noob. I was pretty drunk and i'd agree to near enough anything, so we hopped on the back just sitting and drinking while it was slowly going around this little street.
Next thing we know it's going up some main road at around 40mph, needless to say we were shitting ourselves, holding onto the bikes and sitting on the bike rack. So I get all my courage up and say, lets jump.
So I was in it to see it through, so I jump and do some sort of movie stunt roll along the ground and get up in a daze to look for my friend, see the bastard still on it just waving at me going up to a roundabout where it slowed down considerably and he just jumped off.
Ended up with cuts all along my arm and legs. -.-
Another one -this really was scary.
I go out to a friends house party, we're in there playing some drinking games, half of us are half naked just sitting around.
We were told by the host so to speak to leg it if anyone came back to his, and he done a few drills.
He then said "MY DADS BACK RUN" we all laughed since he'd done it about 5x before, but he was serious. so we grabbed our drink, ran upstairs and listened to the comotion downstairs.
His dad - known for being a mental type of guy, starts coming upstairs. me and my friend thought, fuck it.
We went into the bathroom, my friend in nothing but his underwear - no gay scene sorry.
Climbed out the bathroom window onto a roof, listening downstairs, we see all our friends running through the back fields. so we jump down from the roof, drunk, pretending we're ninjas.
run through some back gardens ridden with glass into some field, by this time i'm shirtless, he's bottomless cus I lent him my top - WHICH I NEVER GOT BACK MAY I ADD.
So we were wandering around the streets looking for friends and clothes most of the night.
We never found either
That's about all I can think of ;p

I fell in the Mill Pond in Cambridge.
Ah yes. this was good. Basically I was showing off to this girl, and a bloke I'#d met (was showing him some stuff I'd learnt, he does Karate) anyway, I ws doing fine, until I spun, kicked off the lamp and smashed it, then broke a cupboard door off with a sweep, and managed to flying kick through the patio doors all in one smooth string :S I was lucky nto to get cut, expecially by those doors, they were thick glass.
But the funniest is that I started going out with the girl that same night

Yeh. Though there was the other time, and this was sober actually when I was training, and I thought no one was around, I manged to deck my mate with a fell kick to the ribs, he was trying to sneak up (He was drunkish) and go 'BOO!' and I span, and had thrown the kick. He went sailing
Another good'n was when he broke my nose, it was in D&T and he turned when I said his name, but had his arm out, I ducked under, but as I came up I smashed against him as he came back across... he wasn't even trying to actually hit me, or pretend to hit me
And then there was my mate, he dove through a barbed wire fence thinking it was funny... it was even funnier when he woke up the next day... funny for us, he could barely move

This threads nearly died, and it's such a great one at that so i'll revive with a story of last friday.
I went out, not planning to get overly drunk or anything, so I went, bought booze and went down to meet friends.
We sat there drinking for a couple of hours, chatting and all was well, I hadn't made an idiot of myself YET.
I had drunk around 2 bottles of 20% stuff by the time we decided to have a house party, so we went up my friends and people were drinking, smoking some, erm, big plastic tubes :p?
So I thought i'd try it, since I was a stupid drunk, only catch was I had to do it while bouncing on a trampoline. So I did, I felt fine, went to go kiss the girl I was with for that night, though I got pushed away half way through.
I thought, wow, this has never happened before. then she told me the umm, green tobacco I had been smoking made her go really weird and she had to get home to get her medicine stuff for it.
So I walked her home, abotu 1/4 mile each way and I started feeling the effects, and I mean really feeling them.
I started seeing Gods face in trees - I don't even know what gods face looks like so I was tripping badly.
walked her home, walked back, got told the stuff I had smoked had something else in it, eh.
So I went out the back for some air, woke up an hour later in a shed thinking there was an earthquake.
And after all this I had to walk 3 miles home, I am suprised i'm alive to tell the story.
Very very bad =[

Whilst were dealing with drugs, ill share some of my tales.
And before i go any further id like to let anyone concerned about the subject, that i am not glorifying, encouraging, or condoning the use/misuse of them.
Even if they are REALLY cool.
The worst trip i took was on pills called "ying-yangs" which consist of half ecstasy and half lsd. Anyway i spent about 4 hours cowering behind trees and rocks because i could hear and see all sorts of flying creatures zooming past my head. I then became convinced i was a fish and spent half an hour acryling around in circles in my imaginary fishbowl waving my "fins"..
Another bad experience was with shrooms, i took them at a party and spent the whole night running around making buzzing sounds and telling everyone that i was a fly.. Anyone see a pattern?
But not all the experiences have been bad, theres been some great nights of losing my mind and licking leaves for moisture when i run out of beer..

they told me there was something in it afterwards, I was like .... really?
then I started seeing stuff in tree's, was trippy.
As for pills, I tried at a gig and didn't feel the effects, I later realised I did when it wore off, it just felt as if I was a completely different person, like i'd had a personality transplant.
Made me feel really freaked out afterwards o.o
Worst thing was when I got back, was chatting to my mum for about half hour, went upstairs to wash my face, saw my face in the mirror and my pupils were bloody huge.
I was praying for days my mother didn't notice o.o

I've not had a bad experience. But I avoided Ectasy LSD ect.
Shrooms, well lets just say that was one wierd night, I ended up sleeping with someone, who I thought was unattractive (I only met her there), I was thinking hell it's sex, I was on a run down from my ex and me breaking up... anyways. Woke up the next morning, and I swear I now had beer goggles on, she was stunning... funny, I always thought it was the other way around before that.
Though that night was a riot of laughs, spin the bottle, but we had no bottle, yet everyone knew where it had pointed (Shrooms gave us all a psychic spin the invisible bottle link), that was wierd

yea salvia is what its called, you get it in ireland too, usually in bongshops etc. Comes in different strengths from X10 to X100, getting more expensive as the potency increases. You can smoke it like a normal joint, but youre supposed to use a pipe.
Smoked a whole load of X60 one day and tripped like nothing before, unfortunately it only lasts for about half an hour and extensive use leads to serious brain damage.
And as far as i know its alot more popular in the states where cannabis laws are stricter and legal herbal smoke is widely available

Nah I know what it is, you can use it in cooking, the narcotic effect gets taken out as it heats up, so smoking it must be done rather fast... at least tat's the only legal trip I know of... other than poppers. Ah actually there are loads, I went to strawberry fair (Where me and my ex broke up)
We'd been taking these herbal pills, natural, and 100% safe they said, anyways, they were not affecting us. It was alright I needed to get home, me and my ex were walking back, since her house was in the same direction as the station, we'd split and were hammering out the agreememnt
anyways, was fine, then I fell through the barriers at the station... they were bloody potent once you got hit by them, it was funnier getting off the train... I couldn't get through the door, until I realised it weren't open yet

I admit I am partial to them yes, but my ex was Vegan so we used it
Poppers are actually anal relaxents, if people are interested in that.
And yes herbal speed, trust me don't take it if you know you are busy in three hours, the trip lasts two, but you don;t get hit for about an hour after taking anyways :S

well ive never tried herbal speed as amphetamines are a definite no for me, but i have tried herbal ecstasy pills such as Cloud 9, Riffraff and a few others.
