Im a level 45 cultist with BK tat, but thinking about changing because I cant afford any decent equipment for it, nor can I get the kills I could get with assassin (I get 1-5 hits in an ambush, thats if im lucky) my current equipment is:
good bandanna of the wanderer(+2)
scaled jacket(+4)
chain of strength(+5)
good signet of strength
copper ring of strength(+5)
trousers of the scout(+4)
mace of the inquisitor(+4)
I do have other items from my assassin gear+some others I though would be good for BK but was wrong:
Good Bracelet of the Genius
Light Cape of the Thief (+4)
Expensive Mace of the Gambler (+4)
Chain of Wisdom (+5)
Hat of Precognition (+5)
Silver Amulet of the Genius (+3)
Runic Shorts (+3).
Im almost completely set on changing my tats, unless someone can give me some affordable gear that will let me once again kill people 60k points higher than me. assassins problem was doing decent damage in expos so im not changing back to it. I was thinking I should move to zerker tats but I wouldnt know what gear to get.
I was thinking about going to: hunter, demon lord, Iv asked my clan mates several times but they just gave me a list of equipment, i searched the closed auctions but its all too expensive, here what was listed for BK for your reference:

Obviously, the helmet is the better choice. More defence, more + CtH. But price wise, you'll probably be looking to spend 10 BS max on the latter, but 1-2 LS max on the helmet.

In this case, preference over-comes superiority. The Vest gives more defence, but the cape has base rep, agility & a higher toughness increase. I'd personally choose the cape. Price wise, Vest is cheaper, costing you around 5 BS max. The cape would cost you around LS max, but worth it, I'd say.
Since you cannot afford any jewellery that could help you agility wise, it'll be a good idea to replace your "of strength" items with a titanium set.
TITANIUM SET BONUS:
(+5): Strength +6, Toughness +18
This set is effective against ranged + gunners. Plus the base items of the rings give a bonus to defence, strength and charisma beside the set bonus.
A suffixes titanium set with suffixes like youth & levitation would improve any character greatly. You're probably looking to pay 1-3 LS per piece, dependant on it's condition.
Your pants are fine, although I'd replace the trousers with shorts: Shorts of the Scout. Or maybe a super cheap option would be Light Shorts of the Rouge/Smuggler(1-10 bs). For shorts of the scout, maybe about 1/2 LS > 2 MS.
Your weapon needs a change! Good Murderous Mace (+1) should be your aim. It'll cost you no more than a LS. I'd also buy an Expensive Mace of Inquisitor, just to bump rep up for attacks against gunners.
I strongly recommend that you stick with BK. 
EDIT: This gear last me from level 25/30 -> level 50, with the odd upgrade here and there.

shoulda come here much sooner, I saw all hat gear in auction yesterday D: plus I also had the expensive mace of inquisitor at one point..damn my luck. but ty, I saved the equipment in my notes, I guess ill see what others have to say about changing or not first.

Agreed with franz. Your current gear needs to be thrown out the window. The scout trousers are an ok start. Defence + agility.
But mainly I would say the same. Adrenaline for head is a must aswell

3rd level of Double strike tatoo can be used on 48th level, so it's not a bad idea for BK to start making this tatoo sooner.
