Hi everyone. Just started this game couple of weeks back so was hoping I could get some help on a good setup for Gunman early. Much of the topics earlier which I read were mostly about discussions with regards to pretty high-end mechanisms which are still confusing to me.

These are my stats and equipments at the moment:

ABSORBER LVL 27

DEFENCE 71

STRENGTH 24
AGILITY 32
TOUGHNESS 37
APPEARANCE 42
CHARISMA 28
REPUTATION 32
PERCEPTION 27
INTELLIGENCE 24
KNOWLEDGE 31

Helpful Hard hat of Caution (+3)
Regal Cape (+3)
Amulet of the Pilgrim (+3)
Ring of Beauty (+5)
Bracelet
Shorts of the Rogue (+5)
Good Uzi
Good Uzi

A few doubts that I have would be that what are the essential stats that a Gunman would be needing and things I've to look out for to not screw up the build. I still do not have any tattoo yet 'cause I'm not sure to go got the one that increases the EXP (for faster leveling) first or the one of the others. Hope I could get some advices to clear these doubts.

Just a small addition to tolly's post:
If you are looking to use Gunman tattoos, the clothes defnce requirements are set at;:
LEVEL 1 : helmet defence max 5, armour defence max 10, pants defence max 5
LEVEL 2 : helmet defence max 10, armour defence max 20, pants defence max 10
LEVEL 3 : helmet defence max 15, armour defence max 30, pants defence max 15
LEVEL 4 : helmet defence max 20, armour defence max 40, pants defence max 20
LEVEL 5 : helmet defence max 25, armour defence max 50, pants defence max 25

Gear Changes:

Helpful Hard hat of Caution (+3) -> Cap of Precognition
Regal Cape (+3) - xxxx of Assassin/Cobra/Deathsower/Orchid/Thief etc etc( anything that has the 'all weapons damage +X effect. Out of them all, I'd choose Orchid as deathsower has high defence)
Amulet of the Pilgrim (+3) -> This is fine.
Ring of Beauty (+5) -> Ring/Bracelet of Wisdom
Bracelet -> As above; Ring/Bracelet of Wisdom
Shorts of the Rogue (+5) -> Shorts of the Shepard(a must have in my opinion)
Good Uzi } Weapons are fine.

As for what tattoo to get first, I'd choose from either the Eagle Eye, or the Selective Shot.

I think with using this gear, you'll be sorted up until Act II( Level 50), obviously upgrading items as you go.
Once you hit Act II, or before it ifyou have the gear, get P+1 items. Damage is essential for any gunner. So a mid-life gear setup would look like:

P+1 Bandanna of Caution/Prophet/Senses
P+1 Cape of (damage increasing suffix)
Jewellry of wisdom
P+1 Kilt of Shepard
2x Legendary Uzi's/Desert eagle/Scorpions

Then a high level gear:

P+1 Deadly Bandanna of Precognition
P+1 Deadly Cape of Deathsower
P+1 Solar set
P+1 Deadly Kilt of Shepard
2x Legendary Perfect Scorpions.

Those are main 3 to train I say

Don't worry about the high lvl gear, not even mortis is there yet Wink

P+1 Bandanna of Caution/Prophet/Senses shepherd is the way to go
P+1 Cape of (damage increasing suffix) elvish at start as lotsa crit bonus and low str and agil is helpful in equiping and sieges
Jewellry of wisdom Solar set, twisted set
P+1 Kilt of Shepard
2x Legendary Uzi's/Desert eagle/Scorpions at G+5

Now gear for your level

Too low str for bandanna's atm so

Mask/circlet/balaclava/hat of prego (caps suck)
cape of ds (nothing else really to beat it as orchid lowers valuable percept)
chain/tie of pilgrim + archaic tie/chain
xxx of wisdom x2 + archaic xxx x2
shorts of shepherd
G or highest you can find berreta's (always prefered berreta's due to smaller dmg variant

Thanks for the informative help. I guess the equipment side I'll have to work a bit harder in looking for them. As for stats-wise, do I concentrate mostly on the 3 essential ones like Foxy mentioned ? And also, for the tattoos, I believe the requirements meant that I can't get them if my defence value of the armor I'm equipping for any one of them exceed the value. If so, does the tattoo still works if I changed my equipments after getting the tattoo, thus increasing the values higher than the requirements ?

Tatto 25 def on head

Wear 25 or lower = fine
26 or higher and all tats won't work

1 gunman at level 4 and one at level 5

If helm is 23 def tat level 4 not work but level 5 does
If 18 def both will work

It with all items def = o such as solar set or melee suicide weapons will let you use items with def more than tats allow as they make all item def to 0 (you do not get any def anyway still.

Don't worry about rep and char as much as I have they were for tasks

Im atm getting 60 str slowly but as you can see my stats over than rep and str for those reasons are quite balanced with know and percept abit ahead

You should work and all stats 30 atm and 40 str, percept and know Wink
