It shouldn't be a problem if the final price is according to the evaluation of the item or to what has been paid for the item checking in closed auctions. Still the price of the items always depends on the interest of it. Following your example if you sell a hawks item and no one needs it at the moment or no one notices it on auction excepts your friend then the price won't be so crazy but ofc if someone needs the same item you sell, then your friend will get into a bidding war. If the final price is crazy but it was after a bidding war, and I mean normal bidding war from 2-N players from different IP's and bidding the minimum price more or less every time, then even if it's reported nothing will happen.
I know Szeszej is checking all auctions reported so if he sees something strange he will cancel the auction or if the bids looks suspicious he would even ban the players implied.
No one must be afraid of selling / buying items on auction if all works according to the rules. And if after it someone thinks the auction could look suspicious, there's the option to report it and Szeszej will take care.
