I know that some of you will be playing it... so any feedback yet?

We have just moved house & are in the middle of building (rebuilding) our ultimate gaming room, so haven't actually been able to play it yet Frown ...and that is killing me! But as soon as I do I will posting here to tell exactly how good I find it.

I managed to get my hands on the collectors edition. ^^ I like the game a lot so far. But I can't really judge it as I need to play some more before I do that.

It's like oblivion but a lot better, at least that's what I think. I don't know if it's exactly the same on xbox 360 as it is on the PS3 but it works ok on the xbox 360.

From all of the clips, reviews, & pre-release footage that I have seen, it plays like a mix between Oblivion & Fallout, as they have used the same engine but tweaked it to make the graphics & game play much better.
There is still the freedom to wander where ever you want & do what ever quests you want at any time; but you can also settle & work like a normal schmo if you like
Also, you can use two one-handed weapons, or use different spells in each hand - that is an awesome development.... and of course there are dragons to fight! Big Grin

All of my new pc bits have been ordered; delivery should be at some point this week; I will be playing it at the weekend (as long as the pc building goes to plan).

Picked up the PS3 version and so far seems good .
It's a bit more bloody than Oblivion and running people through is a nice touch.

It actually uses a completely new engine! That's part of the reason it took 5 years to make. Infinite quests, so when you go into a town or village, people will ask you to do stuff that it won't ask other people.

Some balance issues I found, for example when you first start out, a bear will destroy straight away, but you can a kill a dragon without too much trouble. But otherwise, amazing game. Racked up over 35 hours of play and i'm only just beginning to scratch the surface.

I have been playing Skyrim for the last 12 hours... it is awesome. Big Grin

The dragons are sooooo cool & a bit feisty! The graphics are truly beautiful, especially the waterfalls & distant horizons, and the interactive map & perk training areas are spectacular. Some of the quests seem a bit similar to Oblivion (like the guild stuff, etc), but they are still fun to do & the new landscapes & beasts totally make it worth it.
Oh yeah, there are mammoths & sabre-tooth cats as well. Big Grin

I totally recommend people to try it. Wink

I am enjoying Skyrim , It is fun and helps take My mind off of Blood Wars.
It seems bigger than the last game and I like all the different animals running around.
And I am also pleased that the Dark Brotherhood are in it again I might have to restart and make an assassin.

I have played the game for 136 hours now and I think it's awesome. It's the best game this year and I think it's the best RPG ever. ^^

It is a big map; I can't tell if it's bigger though - I think the fact that it is so barren & mountainous might give it the impression it is bigger?

This game must have had a lot wrong with it as I keep getting updates on My PS3.
I would hate to play on a machine without internet connection it must have been released half finished.

HAHA Every other person sais that on skyrim, kinda gets annoying after the 200th time

Dragonrend and 2x Daedric War Axes with fire damage = Alduin dead

Anyone married another character on it yet? I married that Aelia the Huntress, purely for her 100 ranged skill then i found some sick Glass Bow so gave her that, dragons quarter dead before it lands and meets my axes

Racked up some scary hours of play though :/ Cant beleive i have friends outside of Dragonsreach lol

I made a over 500 dmg bow called alduinsbane for him, killed him in 3 shots, too quick Tongue

So Skyrim...


Everyone talk how awesome it is and so on ,I've played some now too and really not so awesome for me. Asked a friend about it , he said it was boring.
Maybe its cause I have played alot of Fallout: New Vegas

You're allowed your own opinion... even if it is wrong lol

Only thing I hated was the 10minute walks to places I couldn't fast travel 2 or the fact if I got to close to a tree on my horse it would literally walk up the tree, fall then die :/

PS I can't wait for it to become multiplayer/online that's gonna be wicked!

Though I think I should start doing more side quests xD

I've got a shout called Dragon call, very handy I must say, rather than looking or waiting for them to come to you, use the shout and within a minute you've got a dragon breathing down your neck
