Bonus that gives item should lower item stats.
For example:

Biting Mace of Suicide (+2)
Two-handed weapon
Damage: 44 - 61
Effects: Hit -4, STRENGTH +5, chance for critical hit +9 %, AGILITY +14, weapon damage +25, items defence = 0
Requirements: LEVEL: 35, STRENGTH: 40, INTELLIGENCE: 24, KNOWLEDGE: 23, AGILITY: 18

Why not change it to:

Biting Mace of Suicide (+2)
Two-handed weapon
Damage: 44 - 61
Effects: Hit -4, STRENGTH +5, chance for critical hit +9 %, AGILITY +14, weapon damage +25, items defence = 0
Requirements: LEVEL: 35, STRENGTH: 35, INTELLIGENCE: 24, KNOWLEDGE: 23, AGILITY: 4

When you touch this weapon you should already gain bonus to those stats.

Bad idea. The stronger the items get, the more difficult it should become to wield them. If you want to use a really powerful item, which gives you better chance against your opponents, you should also have better stats than your opponents. Otherwise, stronger characters would have been benefited against the weaker ones.

Also if you do that Lis people are goin to say oh i have to put xxx on to weald this then take it off why dont we take the bonus off etc... it'll just be 0 eventually. also whos to say it hasn't already had its bonus taken off by the designers?
