what would YOU want to be and a good reason including what tattoo u would go with if possible.
ACT2 : Cultist, Absorber, Beast master, Thoughtcather and Cursed Ones.

can this be turned to poll please. and also if this has been done then do close this thread.

mine would be beat master. Definitely loving the extra attack for both 1handed and 2handed Wink and again beserker 4 LYF.

Im good as im now Tongue Absorber gunner, insane crits and i can absorb your extra attack, the horror, the reputation to avoid attacks, the majesty to avoid loosing HP XD or block them on the case of low blood :p and when attacking i get extra chance to succesfull ambush and insane luck for quests =D which pays nothing im afraid T_T!

Also on the long run easiness ACT 2 plus absorber will be great Tongue

Just a shame that those extra attacks are melee only.

I am enjoying stopping those darn expo monsters in their tracks as a Cursed One shame it is mainly suited for guns and possibly ranged.

I would like to try all races except Absorber to see how their arcana and traits span out but nice to see somebody enjoys absorbing Big Grin

Edit: Diablo been there done that springs to mind, it isn't so great unless your equipment is brilliant. Smile

i'm a TC and zerker....

its well good.... because i can use mind powers on youu >_< and with one of my tats maxed out i can get an extra attack with every 1h melee. the only down side is having to use vengeance weapons or suicide BUT they are epic and do amazing damage Big Grin

I would stay an absorber, it is great to have lowered requirements :-) and also I ve already used almost all other arcanas in ambushes which can be fun sometimes.
Also I find the new luck/cricital arcana quite useful .
And tatoo, probably stay the same, I like the idea of using two-handed guns :-)

I'm quite happy being a BM BK beacuse of the crazy damage I'll eventually be able to do once I finally get everything sorted. Not that I don't do some damage now.
I like my 4th hit and the fact that my insane defence can slow people down. Now I just have to upgrade all the gear...haha.

Tattoo... hmm I'm not sure. Black Knight is so the best tattoo imo but you need such specialist equipment for it. well i restarted from scratch, so im getting my dream, im a cultist assassin, specialising in 1H melee, for now (early on) agility arcana make me unhittable. and then searing blood when i get act 2.

Oooh tough question!

I'm an absorber at the moment, and it does rock; lvl64, the easiness bonus is really starting to kick in. Tongue And the crit-hit / luck bonus is very nice for attacks, expos, & questing (when you have enough blood!)

But if I could start again on another UK server - I'd do what I'm doing on Polish R2: Cultist BK; just got my tattoo to level 3, so have an extra attack. The agility arcana along with the +hit bonus rocks in attacks & expos. The searing blood will be lovely when I get it, but the last patch put a bit of a damp-squib on my excitement; however, it will be a while until I get my defence over 140, so I'm still looking forward to puking acid blood all over my enemies! Evil

im happy sticking with what i am now, an absorber hunter.
as mentioned, i can blokc and absorb all of your stuff, and the easiness bonus comes in usefull

also the crit arcane [when i get act 2] will help loads, especially with the legendary weapons

I am happily absorber. It's my favourite race... it was hard during the first act, in fact, nearly impossible to slog.... now however it's all coming together.

I'm staying absorber gunner.

However on a second moria I'd go absorber demoinlord with heavy xbow of reaction Big Grin

Well I've started again and gone for BM Assassin. +HP and strength is invaluable at the beginning which has me flying up the rankings. Also when I hit act II I have my mask to make sure I get the additional attacks Smile

Assassin tatt also means its alot easier to get WD n BD, and if need be I will change to zerker in a while for 2 more attacks, although I do love + crit from assassin.

I voted absorber but i'm not sure if i'd be a cursed one hunter, or an absorber hunter. Sure they both have their perks, but overall it seems the absorber is helping more, because...

Absorber: Critical chance tattoo (helps for legendary)
Lower requirements (i NEED that especially since i'm kinda getting items that'd completely screw with me)
Luck (just useful overall)

But then the cursed one: Natural hit chance (yeah, i find it hard to hit since i'm NOT using a shuri of reaction)
Perc arcana (perfect =P)
Punishment effect in expos/sieges (in ambushes, it's useless, i've got a freaking tattoo that does that)

Overall, i ain't deciding for awhile >_<

Assasin absorber Wink guns are handy for expos and the extra crit chance can be handy for legendary fn fal. Melle items are handy in rep set as i get high hp and dmg bacause of crit chance from tats

searing blood is quick win, but in long run the criticals are better. If I would have Perfect Elvish Cape (+1) now I would have 85% critical chance with my guns, so at really later stage of game I can start thinking about using Speed to get 2 more attacks.

I picked absorber, in my opionion it literally owns the rest of them
  • Any type of arcana can be countered with a good set, but absorbers just take it away from them and in many cases uses it against them (absorbing searing blood/horror/etc is especially nice)

  • Their act 2 arcana is also the best imo, although it doesnt give more attacks, or actually do damage, its the only one that gives luck, i can get my luck to 20 naturally now, and combined with my luck gear i can get it over 35, Brilliant for questing and by far trumps the other races quest wise.

  • The chance for crit hit with act 2 arcana is also really helpful being a hunter ranger

  • And then theres the easyness, lets talk about CEZARS, hes like what.. lvl 78 or sumfin? Thats 18% easyness, 5 from racial trait, 5 from 60+ and 8 for being 78! Imagine the items he can equip.. and then add legendary easyness to that?


I forsee a lot of absorber tanks using Field fullplatemail of Master lol

I would of replied to this in school, but the damn schools internet was being a *bleep*

Anyway, since i can't remember exactly what i said, i'll say whatever comes to mind which is somewhat close.

Just because Cultists have that searing blood, which does do massive damage, i know it can do 300+ per round in sieges/expos (from people near-ish my strength) or about 170+ in an attack, doesn't mean everyone would wanna pick it, here are reasons i can think of people picking other races.

Beastmasters: They get an extra attack for melee weapons, need i say more? Assuming they use 1h melee, they get a chunk of damage added (usually 200 for both of their 1h melee weapons if they hit crits) that's 400 damage that they'll usually hit, and RAPE you with. Your 170 (in attacks) 300 (in sieges) is useless now. Or if it's 2h melee, then your well and truly screwed, they hit ridiculous high damage with a single hit, and now they'll do that an extra time on top of their 2/3 hits. Now searing blood is just another fly to swat to them.

Absorbers: I can defo understand for all the hunters out there, since our legendary ranged weapon loses critical chance, and has high requirements, being an absorber becomes a blessing. We get our natural luck (thanks to our arcana) up to high amounts (I can use 9, so that's 18 luck) plus the extra critical chance added on-top of our tattoos actually give us a decent chance for critical.

Thoughtcatchers: Sorry, i really can't think of many reasons, just the magesty, which does give you extra HP, but usually cultists searing blood will destroy that in 1 go -.- (sorry thoughtcatchers)

Cursed one: Once again, only 1 i can think of... make that 2. Their punishment effect, if theyuse it, they get a free round of dealing damage on you, and (for this example i choose an AK) and deal damage beyond your dreams... well beyond my dreams, it's nowhere near what diablo would do, since i'm thinking of people around-ish my strength-ish. And their damage for loss of agility, if they use alot of them, then once you get their health "low" in an attack, you've just went and increased their damage massively, so effectively by using your searing blood, you've actually sped up your own death XD (assuming you don't kill them after the damage activates)

Voted Thoughtcather had a loss of faith in them a while back but that has recently been restored We are the best tanker's in any expo, siege and we don't even have to change our gear to do that we are naturally the best obviously if I could I would have a cultist and a BM on my expo team but with the right gear every mob can be taken down plus in the long run we'll have higher HP then the mobs. Seriously like when the phoenix goes psycho (I know some of ye are like Phoenix puh please we farm that thing) I'm so happy that I survive as getting the badge surviving is key the rest is down to luck and the ten luck is a big difference found out when I started an account on Nerco I just had to change back to thoughtcather the extra item's pre and suffix are a great help.
HP HP HP but in fairness something should be done about the Act1 Thoughtcatchers for expo's and sieges their Arcana are no good while every other race can use their arcana's in sieges and 2 of them in expo's

Tattoo no clue once I get my badge from the phoenix I will start looking at them I want a crit and hit tatoo plus if I ever find a useful Led weapon then that'll decide it plus I'll likely ask members of DARK what they think and then decide

2 votes for thoughtcather just wait till the game gets older and we have 10000000HP in expo lol you never know how many lvl's of an Arcana you can get with a Perfect Sham set Perfect Bony and Perfect rings of Blood


I can see a few advantages withthoughtcatcher... it works well as demonlord for HP synergy, and collector... but also, in some ways, BK.... give them a crystal/venemous/reinforcing/caring mace of bloodsucker and watch them survive next to everything with their arcana.

Each race is good.... you just gottawork out what you want with it

lol as a beserker thoughtcather I feel a bit discriminated, anyway voted for thoughtcather because with the extra hp you are free enough to don't care about other opinions xD

Cultist health regen or searing blood + 1h gunner = domination

Who cares about BM's extra attacks when we can destroy u in like 2 rounds Tongue haha

that being said absorbers are useful for easiness... the luck tht we get from arcana regarding questing is useless... in my experience this extra 18 luck does nothing, even when combined with my luck questing set!!! (45 luck in total)

nope. its just a 'what if?' thread.

ontopic: hmm its a hard 1. absorbers good, the luck comes in handy, but i think all are pretty equal.

perhaps not BM, i believe the arcana only helps 1h meleé users, but i could be wrong :s

but gaah majestys annoying
