Just had a thought.
Why does the requirement for tattoos like black knight (min defence x) go up, and requirements for things like sniper (max defence x) go up too?
shouldnt it be more like the defence starts high then decreases for these tattoos, as you would have to TRY to get an item with 30 defence, and this is maximum on some lower level tattoos...
just as it is hard for black knights to have the stats to use tattoos at level 5, it should be similarly hard for snipers/assassins and others with max defence stats at level 5, rather than being hard at level 1 then progressively being easier.
dontcha think?
eg, black knight tattoo
helmet defence min 50
armour defence min 70
pants defence min 50
(not sure thats right, but hey)
sniper tattoo at similar level
helmet defence max 30
armour defence max 50
pants defence max 30
see how sniper is much easier to achieve?

Yes, the sniper tatoo is one of the few to go for, but what you say with the requirements doesn't make sense in the long run. If you upgrade a hard hat of Precognition to good it will have about 16 defence, that would mean (if I understood you correctly) that snipers would be limited with upgrades. The way it is now snipers (and similar) cannot equip items with increased defence via affixes.
